It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Watch the Valet Staff 10/13/2009

The valet brought my brand new Escalade back to me damaged. No one seemed to really care and told me to call their toll free number to have it repaired. 10 days later I am still calling trying to get something done. Not only does the hotel show a lack of maintenance, but it's customer service is lacking too. Pros: It's convenient Cons: If they damage your vehicle- good luck more

Salty food 6/21/2009

I am not sure if I would go back as most of our food was very salty. the meals are well thought out but poorly executed from the salt perspective. and I enjoy saltier food. however, my prime rib and my husbands scallops were over the top salty. the crab cake we had for appetizer was average, not a typical crab cake so if one is expecting traditional crag cake, i would not order this one. my first meal was delicious - i had honey bignets and they were outstanding. desserts were delicious. my husband had oreo/truffle dessert and i had a pastry type of desserts with banana foster topping and creamy filling. very nice. as i said our mail dishes were overly salty - i only had two bites of my prime rib. however, their truffle macaroni and cheese and two thumbs up. overall, not the greatest food experience for us, but the atmosphere was nice and waiting staff if great. Pros: waiting staff and desserts Cons: very salty meals more

great food 11/24/2008

great contemporary food in a classic setting. great mix of food and flavors with a small but nice wine list, Pros: food and decor Cons: parking more

Extraordinary in many ways 8/2/2008

The room is like a movie set from the by-gone days of art deco's hey-day. Simply stunning. Food is excellent, but the menu could vary a bit more seasonally. Don't miss the Sunday brunch. I think this is my favorite restaurant (sorry Pigal's and Daveed's). It is a unique place that one does not encounter much these days. Pros: Stunning architechture, excellent food Cons: The chef could be more flexible with seasonal changes to the menu more

corner table for two 11/26/2007

Definitely not worth the price! 10/31/2006

My husband and I stayed here a year ago, and were pretty impressed with the hotel. However, upon returning this past weekend, we were very disappointed & will not stay again. For the price, there are many other places to stay. The rooms have been redecorated in a drab beige color with no decor at all. The hallways were also a lifeless beige with no artwork or color. When I asked the front desk about the remodeling, the clerk just told me that I was the only one who thought that way and most others liked the remodeled modern look. The lobby was being remodeled (which wasn't mentioned to me during our reservation process) and the check in staff were not very friendly (in comparison to other Westins). The room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning was not working. There was no parking, so we were forced to use valet parking. We stay at Westin's every time we travel, so I was hugely disappointed in the Cincinnati Westin. As a Starwood preferred guest, I just stayed in the Chicago Michigan Ave Westin last weekend, and was given very nice treatment. Little things, like free water in my room, mean a lot. At the Cincinnati Westin, a bottle of water in my room cost $3.75. Pros: Nice location, heavenly bed, heavenly bath Cons: Drab decorating, rooms not soundproof, very costly more

Art Deco Masterpiece 8/12/2005

This hotel is clearly one of the gems of America's Art Deco period that still survives basicly in its original form (At least in the lobby) until today. Located in the Carew Tower, the tallest building in Cincinnati, it adjoins an arcade of shops so you won't have to go far to do shopping. It is also connected to the Convention Center by a covered Skywalk, so you can get back and forth without getting too warm/cold/wet. A must stay location for lovers of architectural detail. Pros: Art Deco, Close to Everything, Good Shopping more
