The food was mushy and bad, I went there with my three year old and the service was lousy. I only saw my server once and i had to hunt her down to get my check! more

Diner food with a twist 8/29/2005

Highland Grill is a great place for a twist on diner food. Everything on the menu is something you might find at a local greasy spoon, but has a swanky twist. Grilled cheese comes with chutney. Egg salad is spiced with curry. Salads are topped with steak and Gorgonzola. The fries are made with sweet potatoes and served with a peanut aioli sauce (and are delicious!) Not everything works, but the prices are cheap, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. The walls are neon green and are lined with sparkly red booths. Breakfast is also good here- the buckwheat pancakes and eggs Benedict are both very good. more

Great breakfasts 8/19/2005

The Highland Grill is an upscale diner. I have only gone for breakfast, but that is enough to keep me coming back. I’m a really big fan of meat, and though it is by no means a vegetarian joint, the breakfast menu is a bit sparse on it. But, due to the great taste, this is one of the few places that I can happily order a meal without meat. Not particularly cheap, but definitely worth trying. more

great brunch! 6/26/2005

Highland grill has a cool, hip decor -- bright windows, sunny, old-style bar, and good service. It's a great brunch or lunch time restaurant, offering a variety of fattening, cholesterol-laden foods to heathy choices (such as granola). Usually a big hit during lunch time, and it's worth the food. It's a reasonably priced grill with good, traditional American food. more
