We stopped at the Hidden Wok in San Leandro and thoroughly enjoyed their lunch special consisting of tea, salad, soup, entree and rice for prices ranging from $4.95 to $6.95, depending on your chosen entree. The food was served hot and tasted good. Vegetables were crispy, sauces were delectable, and portions were generous. The salad was good, although we were not given a choice of dressing, and not everybody may like the dressing which tastes like coleslaw dressing. We enjoyed the decor. There were no gold plastic lanterns with red tassles or any attempt to wow us with visuals. The walls are a simple cream color, with a few elegant prints, and indirect lighting from wall sconces. Tables have simple vinyl tablecloths. Service was fast and pleasant. We had to ask for water, but it came right away when we did. They had a beer special that day, Sierra Nevada for $3.95. Overall a good value, tasty food at fair prices in a nice setting.
