My friend and I have enjoyed having a good massage while traveling, and we thought that this looked like a great place to stop and relax. The prices are reasonable, and the place looks clean. Unfortunately, the drive to New York had taken it's toll on my back, and I really was feeling like i NEEDED a massage, rather than simply wanting it. After settling in, I told my therapist that I wanted some work on that upper back place that can really turn into a knot. He mumbled a word or two, and for the next 15 minutes, I just had a gentle brushing up my back, then back down..hmmm. Was this going to get any better? Just a start maybe? Nope, just another 45 minutes of apathy in oil.
When I came out, I actually complained...NEVER the sort that would do this, but I was really disappointed, and my back still hurt. The man behind the desk couldn't have been less interested, and actually handed me an envelope for the tip, after I had told him of my dissatisfaction. He would not give me the name of the therapist, nor his own name, so I cannot merely suggest that you avoid this particular therapist. My advice: go somewhere else, even if it costs a little more.
