Chocoholics unite! 2/21/2006

Hershey's Chocolate World is a fun and free thing to do if you are in the Hershey area. The ride at times has a long wait, but it's interesting. Open year round, so when Hershey Park is closed, chocolate world is open. They also have a little cafe and then a whole bazaar of chocolate and Hershey insignia items to purchase. A fun hour or two. more

So fun! 12/27/2005

No visit to Hershey Park is complete for me unless I visit Chocolate World. You have to go on the Factory Tour Ride and get your free sample of chocolate at the end (the ride is free too!). It's a cute ride. There is fun 3D show you can buy tickets for and there is the Factory Works Experience that I believe is free for the kids, unless you want to purchase extras at the end. The ticket office for the Trolley Tours is also in Chocolate World. And there are the shops selling merchandise and candy, as well as a food court, cafe and bakery. There is no charge to go in Chocolate World and when I was there in the beginning of December 2005 it was free to park for 2 hours. Chocolate World is a fun and enjoyable way to begin or end your day at Hershey Park. more

Free tour! Awesome! 11/13/2005

This is a great time for the whole family, the best part about it is that it is FREE! You go on a type of trolly ride that explains to you as you are moving how they make the chocolate. My daughter loved the cow! They also take your picture on the tour that you have a chance to purchase at the end. You are also given a free chocolate sample. As you are exiting the ride is where they hit you in your wallet. They have cookie stands, icecream stands, and also all of the candy they make for sale. All in all this was very enjoyable for my whole family. more

Everything Chocolate 8/30/2005

This is a must see tourist attraction for all chocolate lovers. Located next to Hershey Park, there is no fee to walk through Chocolate World. There are several shops that offer not only Hershey’s chocolate but souvenirs as well. There is also a café style seating area. They do carry seasonal chocolates at Christmas and Halloween. Oh there are areas that the staff will take your picture with the Hershey Chocolate Family (Hershey Kiss, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup etc). more

So much fun! 8/26/2005

I have been there a few times in the past with my nephews and we just went again last week. It's always a good time because you can get in for free and walk around and ride the ride for free too. I have to say the new addition of the "Cholcolate Works" is my favorite. I took my nephews through and you get to "make your own" chocolate concotion. They are 3 and 5 although I think chocolate lovers of any age would enjoy! more

Great For The Family But Can Finish Quick 8/25/2005

Chocolate World in Hershey, PA has some great things to do but you can finish them very quick. Chocolate World has a ride that goes around and shows how chocolate is made. It's educational and kids love it. At the end of the ride you get to look at the picture that they took of you during the ride and you even get a piece of chocolate. Chocolate World also has a fun 3D movie. It has been about a year since I went on the 3D movie so I don't remember much. But one thing I remember is that it is expensive and not very long. But it was fun and a great way to get away from the hot weather. The rest of Chocolate World is filled with shops and places to eat. It's a great place to go but don't be going and excepting to get a whole day out of it. more

Chocolate Lovers Heaven 8/21/2005

If you’re ever anywhere near Hershey, make sure visit Hershey Chocolate World. This is basically a ‘visitors center’ type introduction to all things Hershey. Its free to get in. There’s a ride showing the chocolate making process and at the end you’ll get a little something sweet. There’s also all kind of shops and a cafe where you can purchase specialty chocolate items. You can see it all in an hour or two. It’s located next to Hershey Park, so you’ll still have to fight the traffic. more

Chocolate! 8/20/2005

Hershey's Chocolate World is neat because you get to go on a FREE ride that takes you through the chocolate making process. It goes from gathering the beans in the jungle all the way to being wrapped at Hershey's. It smells like chocolate everywhere and you get a little free chocolate bar at the end of the tour. You come out into their store at the end where you can then buy anything Hershey's related that you can imagine. It's pretty fun to see. more

The Sweetest Place On Earth 8/19/2005

You will smell Hershey before you see it and that is just fine with me! Hershey is a great place for the family to have a wonderful day. It is a well cared for amusement park, with lots of wonderful rides and wonderful food. Look out if you are a chocoholic when you enter Hershey Chocloate World you will see chocolate history and then exit through a retail area that will bring you to your knees! Yummy treats everywhere I defy you to resist! more

Hershey's Chocolate World 8/17/2005

The price is right, FREE!! Since they no longer give free tours of the real chocolate plant. This mini tour building, right near Hersheypark, of how chocolate is made was built and recently updated. There is a guided ride that takes you through the Hershey process of making chocolate and gives you some history Hershey Chocolate. At the end of the tour they often give you a sample of a chocolate bar, just like the old days. There are of course gift shoppes at the end of the tour and food courts. Really no way to avoid this stuff you must walk through to get out. There is also a new paid movie about Hershey that is also offered. I do not know anything about it. I have not attended it. The best thing there are the LARGE cookies fresh from the oven!! The cakes are very good too. Or a milkshake. Nice tropic garden setting. more

Crowded in the summer! 8/16/2005

If you can, make a trip here in the winter. The crowds are gone and you can truly appreciate the wonder of chocolate world. This is such a neat place, and is overshadowed by screaming kids and crowds during the summer. Take the ride - and learn something! more

Wonderful Experience 8/8/2005

Hershey Chocolate World is a wonderful experience for anyone from toddlers to elderly adults. You can go on a ride that offers information on how chocolate is made and the establishment itself, with exhibits along the sides. After the ride they give you a complimentary chocolate and you can go to the gift shop. The gift shop has many things from chocolates to stuffed animals and mugs. At the end of the ride they take a photo of your car and you can purchase copies of the photo in the gift shop. Added bonuses include the ride being free and little food shops in the area, not to mention Hershey Park being right next to it! more

See how chocolate is made 8/7/2005

Hershey Chocolate World offers a free chocolate making tour together with free Hershey candy samples. This is a chocolate lovers dream. There is a themed retail shops and a food court located here. Admission is free. more

Learn about cocoa beans 7/29/2005

A must see! Chocolate World is free although there is a fee for parking. It's one of those attractions that is interesting for both kids and adults. When you first walk in, there is a lot of history about Milton S Hershey. Then you take a riding tour of a "chocolate plant" and learn the steps that chocolate goes through to become those candy bars that we all love. The tour is great! We all love it. Chocolate World also hosts a Factory Works Experience that is interactive. There is also a 3D show which we haven't seen yet. There is a charge for this show. There is a cafe and food court on premises. No tour of Chocolate World is complete without some ice cream or their delicious baked goods. Their large cookies are awesome. more
