Good: The Herataige Farmstead Museum in Plano Texas depicts a typical farmstead in texas history 1891. The museum is nationally accredited and historically accurat. If you would like a tour of the buildings and the grounds you may purchase a ticket for 5.00 or just the grounds for 2.00. I reccommend the tour. Call ahead Phone - 972-881-0140. Not much to see 10/21/2005

A co-worker and I decided to check this place out during our lunch break. The place is tiny and no guide was availabe. We slided $2 in a box per person to take the self-guided tour. There was a stinky pig laying out in the hot heat, a house that was locked up so we couldn't see anything and an old school house. Just make sure that if you ever decide to go, there will be a guide there to take you around. more

Old-Fashioned Life Depicted in Museum 8/18/2005

The Heritage Farmstead is a museum in Plano, TX that consists of an authentically restored fourteen room 1895 Victorian farmshouse complete with all of its original outbuildings. It's in the heart of Plano, and it has most of the original stuff--they'll show you a 19th century kitchen and tell you how things were made, preserved, etc. There's a nice gift shop and it's cheap--only $3.50 for adults and $2.50 admission for children and seniors. A great family place to visit! more
