Best

I have just returned to Herbsaint with my discerning tastebuds prepared for the VERY BEST in New Orleans fine dining, only to discover the cuisine even BETTER than what I remember...

Worst

Where to start......first the staff was snotty......then the food was over priced and to be honest quite awful. We will never go back again.

Herbsaint Bar and Restaurant 11/20/2006

Herbsaint Bar and Restaurant is located in the Central Business District at 701 St. Charles Avenue. I love this place! It's a moderately-pricey restaurant, so please come prepared. On its website http://www.herbsaint.com/ www.herbsaint.com, it has listed many professional reviewers who have reviewed this restaurant. The restaurant consistently gets an average of a "4." It only takes one person to knock them out of a perfect 5, so be assured getting a 4 is fantastic and out of this world! Besides a restaurant and a bar, they have private dining, request that you make reservations, and have special events. All this is covered on their homepage. I love the Olive Oil Seared Gnocchi with Lemon, Parmesan and Local Tomatoes, the Shrimp and Green Chile Grits Cakes with Tasso Cream Sauce, and the Beef Short Rib on Potato Cake with Dijon-Horseradish Dressing, as I have gotten each of them on a previous visit. I also like the Housemade Spaghetti with Pancetta and Fried-Poached Farm Egg! I know you will love it here, so don't wait. Go as soon as you can and see what you have been missing. more

Herbsaint: Moderate Creole 8/14/2005

Susan Spicer’s more moderate restaurant in the Central Business District (CBD) is one of my favorite lunch places but is also nice for dinner. It specializes in local favorites such as the otherworldly fried frog legs and rich gumbos of the day. Other personal favorites include the salmon sandwich, steak and french fries and the tomato shrimp bisque. They also make a great Sazerac! more
