Completely different establishment since the change in management in June 2012. Feels different...the breakfast still very nice, lunch selection is great and dinner they've really taken it up a notch. Business looks to have increased as well...many more cars in the lot....plus a great patio to enjoy a cup of coffee and dining al fresco. more

The market is being run by professionals now and they have their act together nicely. The waitresses are friendly now and the service is top notch. Food is well prepared and a good value. more

Henpeck Village Market under new management 11/22/2011

Since the re-opening of the Henpeck Village Market in Franklin Tn, there have been some ups and downs and things change , but for the last three or four months, I have noticed that the two original managers are no longer there and that chef Jamie Hanson has taken over as manager of operations. They are focusing more on their signature smoked meats, along with fresh salads and soups. They have also added hand tossed pizza. I see improvements every day and believe that they are on the right track more

They are COOL and expanding 10/7/2008

Very good food. I eat there about every week. Now they have fresh baked desserts. I would say they are the best. They just added some retail areas upstairs called the LOFT which is pretty cool. Also, they have a coffee shop area. They are changing in a positive way. I hope they continue to stay open. more

Wonderful, quaint place to eat! 4/13/2006

I'm not sure what the negative review was all about...there are always two sides to every story. Anyway, the Henpeck is such a sweet, quaint place to eat or pick up a meal. They have the BEST homemade biscuits with wonderful crispy bacon for breakfast. The cinnamon scones with almond icing are also terrific. They make homemade chicken salad (very tasty) and an odd pimento cheese that is wonderful taken home and grilled like a grilled cheese sandwich. The prices are VERY reasonable. The atmosphere is neat considering you are eating in a Citgo! However, they sometimes have live music which is nice. You actually place your order, pick up your food, get yourself whatever you want to drink and then pay up at the front as you leave. It is pretty much on the honor system which goes to show what nice people both work there and eat there. Pros: Inexpensive, Homemade food Cons: In a gas station more

Very rude 3/7/2006

This market is near my work and I used to stop there every day if I needed gas or a soda on the way home. I am not a conservative but I can admire the owners' beliefs and how entrenched they are in them. Things have been fine until my most recent trip there. The lady in front of me was treated with kindness and respect. I was told I was "out of it" because it wasn't immediately obvious to me that the cigarettes weren't kept behind the counter. This was followed with the coldest "have a good day" I've ever heard. It was in the same tone as someone might say, "screw you." I have no idea why the owner chose to treat me so hatefully but I won't be coming back. I think there might be a few passages in the bible about how you should treat people. more
