Henley's Silver Lake Resort 11/29/2010

I am sure you were at some other Silver Lake, not Henley’s Silver Lake Resort. There are a few Silver Lakes in Washington State. Henley's Silver Lake Resort is located just 6 miles from the lovely town of Eatonville, Washington. Silver Lake is based at the foot of Mt. Rainier about 20 miles to the west. It is a small spring-fed lake, nestled in the wetlands of Pierce County. Henley's Silver Lake Resort is a family camp and definitely does not allow tweekers. We are a peaceful, fun and beautiful camp. Henley’s Resort raise and feed 30,000 rainbow trout in pens throughout the winter. They are released into Silver Lake in early April, when they have reached about 6 inches in length. Washington State also release 30,000 Rainbow trout in Silver Lake. Fishing Season at Silver Lake opens late April and runs until late October. Silver Lake hosts a variety of fish. As well as rainbow trout, we have large mouth bass, perch, crappies, catfish, and blue gill. Until recently German Browns were also stocked. Although they are no longer stocked, there are still the holdovers, as witnessed by the local fisherman. My husband and I became the new owners of Henley's Silver Lake Resort in August 2010. Please come and fish on our 200 ft dock or rent a row boat. We have 6 cabins and 18 RV sites as well as a grassy park for camping. We know that you will love it as much as we do! worst trip 10/18/2010

me and my fishing partner go and try new lakes all the time. we passed up going to a lake where we new would have a great time to try silver lake. the staff was exteamly rude. it was like camping in a parking lot, bad fire pits. we were warned not to leave anything in our boat because the tweekers down the way would come and steal are stuff. fishing was the worst. we tried everything in our tackle box (hundreds of dolllars worth of gear). we wanted to camp in the grass and they said no it wasnt open for the season yet. (we went in the month of may). when we came back from fishing the next day people were camping in the grass. the place is a crap hole i will never waste my time there ever again. they really need to get there sh** togeather. i would advise people not to go there more

Wonderful 4th of July 8/23/2010

I was at the resort on the 4th of July. We were there from 5:00pm until 11:00pm. The owner had a community bomb fire complete with complimentary hot dogs, chips, and soda. The fireworks were on the beach and the dock What a display they had as well as the homeowners on the lake. I saw the owner go around and let customers know that fireworks were done at 11:00pm. My family had a great time and I highly recommend Henley Silver Lake Resort. I have never seen customers treated rudely by staff. I loved it there and so do my friends and family. We have been going there for years. Everyone goes through tough times, but these last 2 years have been fantastic. more

I would never go back here again 7/4/2010

My family and I have visited this resort a few years in a row for July 4th and have always had a pleasant experience until this year. We were treated rudely by staff, almost attacked by other visitors' dogs and the staff obviously had no control over other tenants as there were drunks wandering around our cabin doors, loud and obnoxious with fireworks until almost 3am. I would have overlooked the other tenants but the staff was not apologetic or helpful at all after several complaints. I will never take my family here again and I encourage potential visitors to reconsider ever visiting this place. I will be telling all of my friends and family the same. Never have I seen such unorganized, rude and unfriendly staff at an establishment. Spend your money elsewhere. Pros: used to be a nice place to go Cons: horrible staff and management more

july 09 -a good time had by all 7/26/2009

a group of use stayed over this week end in tents. we had the best time. to keep cool we could take dips in the lake and them walk back to the camp grounds...bats come around at the lake at nite. it was interestsing to see them, thy didnt look like what i expected...i didnt go exploring much, cuz my group was so good to hang with. there were 2 port-a-potties very near our camp and even 2 porcelain real toilets dwn by the cabins (hot water & everything). ding one star cuz thy have policy on how hi a fire can be,but the fire pit was so full of debris,it was hard to have a fire w/ the req grate on top of it...if thy had something we could clean it out w/ or could have kept it clean, thn would have been a flawless trip. right off hwy 7, it was easy for everyone to get to.alone time with friends in the shade & taking dips &fishing ..it is some quality time off from work/heat & the city. Pros: shade, friends, fishing, swimming Cons: fire pit full of debris more

Silver lake 8/10/2008

We have been camping at Silver Lake three times since the new owners have taken over this property. Every time has been a positive experience. The new owners as well as the staff are very helpful and friendly. They will do anything (short of paying for your space) to make your stay great! The out houses need better tending to but thats camping for you! For that I took a star. This a great palce to take children! If you haven't been there for a while..... They have a new dock! Pros: thumbs up more
