One of the places I miss in CA 8/8/2006

Oh, Heidi's pies! My husband loved the sweet potato pancakes. They are open 24 hours, which is great for going after the bar, or a good way to start off an early morning road trip. True, it is just diner food, kinda like Denny's, but the atmosphere is great! If you go at different hours, you get different crowds. It is great to people watch, and very kid friendly. There are a few servers there that are horrible, but then most of them are as sweet as their pie. And yes, their pie is really really good. more

Good, unassuming diner 4/15/2006

I love going to Heidi's Pies. It could be a bit cleaner looking, but the food is good. They serve pies (obviously) but I also like their belgian waffles and they serve Sweet Potato Pancakes which are amazing. I go just for those. The staff appears harried, so I've had okay service there but nothing special, but I do want to go back for the pancakes! more

Very similar to a denny's diner. 8/9/2005

Simple food, for a little more. Good ol' American food- diner, with things on the menu such as pork chops and meat loafs~ The pies are good, but something you could make at home. They make their pies fresh there with a lot of fruits. The prices were a little more than if you had gone to Denny's. Not too note worthy. Not enough staff, but who was there was nice. REminds me of a truck stop (with that type of people hanging out there) The overall design of the places was a bit old diner style with wide tables and teens hanging out there. Hot coffee is unlimited and so is the hospitality. more
