Heaven Sent Children's Resale

Do not even waste your time with this store. You can launder the clothes you want to sell them to the max and scrub out every little stain and they will not buy hardly anything and will then tell you the clothes have stains on them. And the clothes they do buy, they will offer you pathetically little money for. I have wasted so much of my time trying to sell them clothes from stores like Gymboree and Old Navy and...no go. That is why their selection is AWFUL (I don't understand the previous reviews posted on this site). They are a dinky little store and don't have much to offer. I suppose if you wanted to buy a gift for someone and just wanted one thing it would be OK, but if you wanted to go shopping for summer or winter clothes for your own child/children, save yourself the trouble and just go down the street to Target or Walmart for the same prices and quality. And NEVER waste your time trying to sell to them. STAY AWAY. more

Heaven Sent in Federal Way, WA is such a great store to shop and re-sale quality used or unused baby & toddler items. The staff is excellent and the store is always neat, clean, and easy to shop around in. I have been a customer for years along with my son who is now 4 yrs. We love going there and feel so welcome there. The prices are awesome and there is always a good selection of toys, clothes, baby things, and etc. I recommend this store to new and already moms and dads, grandparents, family members, and friends. Good location too. more

This is the nicest resale store I have EVER been in - feels just like a retail boutique!! The staff is more than professional - they are outstanding and really, really helpful. Before selling to them, they do let you know that they only accept items in excellent condition so you shouldn't be surprised or have hurt feelings if you go home with some of your things. Because of this, you can expect only wonderful things on their racks and shelves (which are always neat and orderly). I find their prices downright cheap, toys included. If you just want "used" things, go somewhere else; if you want quality resale, go here FIRST!!! Individual service and attention to detail place this store above all other resale stores I've ever experienced - maybe that's why they have been in the business for more than twenty years!! Lots of new items, including resale clothing. Their shoe selection is awesome. more

Excellent Recommendation! I usually shop at A Child's Closet in Seattle, but now that I've moved to S. King County, that's not reasonable. I came to Judy's Book and asked about a resale shop with nicer children's clothing. A couple of people metioned Heaven Sent. I brought a bag of clothes to sell and shopped for my toddler. There was a nice selection of summer clothes and shoes. All of the clothes I brought were nice pieces. In other words, pieces that I might purchase in a resale shop (name brands or store brands that are fairly new). They rejected only a few items and only because they had stains. Actually, had I seen the stains, I would not have included them. I purchased a pair of sandals (Kai Run), hair accessories and book for my daughter. I just returned from D.C. where I shopped for her, so I did not have a true need to buy her clothing. I will return to Heaven Sent in the fall. I have a big bag of cold weather clothes to sell and I hope to pick up great pieces for my daughter. more

This is BY FAR my favorite consignment store. I have gone to dozens upon dozens of consignment stores only to find absolute JUNK. Other owners seem to take everything under the sun, regardless of its condition or style. You will not find that at Heaven Sent. You'll find Gymboree, Gap, Hanna Andersson, Baby Lulu, Janie and Jack and others not so well known sellers. The staff is VERY picky about what they will take, and as a buyer, I appreciate it greatly. Sure, there prices are higher than other consignment stores, but I know that when I walk into the doors there, I won't have to go through loads of crappy clothes to find something decent. I easily find nice clothes for my kids there. more

If your precious darling just has to be wearing the most expensive name-brand clothing but your wallet can't oblige, this is the place for you. But if you intend to sell stuff your kids have outgrown, beware -- the buyers here are VERY picky. The prices are high, but not outragious considering the quality. Stay away from the toys and accessories -- they are terribly overpriced. more

I have been to the Heaven Sent resale store several times hoping to find something used for a decent prize. A lot of their toys are old and dirty and way too expensive. The same applies to their clothes, some of the clothes appear to be several years old and look very worn. I have seen very worn toddler shirts for $4. I can buy a brand new shirt on sale in a regular store. What is nice about Heaven Sent is that they have a play are for kids while parents look at their selection. If you want to return something you don't get your money back but you get store credit. more
