I just had my first hydro-therapy treatment at The Health Connections Center. I feel LIGHT! Lighter than I've felt in years. The therapist that worked with me was a very polite and conversational woman. She was very thorough and told me she had been practicing for more than a decade. I was given a treatment and then was provided literature thoroughly explaining the procedure and how it will affect me. I was also briefed on foods and supplements that will help my digestion. The therapist new what she was doing. The staff was pleasant and provided a comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely come back here!!! more

I've had problems with neck and shoulder strain and pains, and Master Park's treatments provided great relief. It was amazing. His acupressure is intense, but IT WORKS WONDERS. I just wish Master Park could be around all the time here, but he just comes to the States in the Spring and in the Fall. Don't hesitate to have an opportunity for Master Park to help you with your aches, pains, and even emotional problems. more

I have been treated by Master Park since 1999 and have sent many friends and realitives to see him. His treatments are very powerful for myself and many of the other people I have talked too about their treatments either before or after my appointments. We all agree Master Parks treatments work like no other .He has kept me healthy and vibrant and I cannot wait untill I can make an appointment for a treatment. more

I literally just joined citysearch so I could write a review and warn people about this place. As the other reviewers have said STAY AWAY. I learned this the hard way. I saw Master Park for accupressure treatment, and have been experiencing really bad pain ever since I saw him a month ago in the exact spot he worked on. When I called his secretary Anne to let her know, she accused me of lying and told me this pain wasnt from Master Park and must have been from something else. She was very rude and extremely unprofessional. Dont go through what I went through and find another place. more

This place is a dump. You can find something better for the same price, quite frankly I would not mind paying more to ensure I do not endure this experience. The technician was very nice, very good, and provided great customer service. However, the place was not neat enough and the receptionist was beyond rude. more

Since I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalsia, I've been looking for a place that can help me deal with the everyday pain and fatigue I feel. Once I found ,""The Health Connection"", I feel that my prayers have been anwsered. The staff ,Ann, Naomi have been extremely supportive and knowledgable in my sitaution. Having the Chi Balancing done by Master Park, is nothing more then a true outer body experiance. I've never come across anyone with this kinda of healing enegry. I brought my mother to him and immedaitely after I saw results. I would STRONGLY reccomend this physility to anyone looking for a holistic practice. These people truely care for your well-being. I've had several chi energy treatments from Master Park, who visits twice a year to Health Connections. His treatments were absolutely what I needed for my back pain. He's really incredible. I've also had some of the other services offered here and there was never any problem or lack of professionalism. I find some of the negative comments suspicious, but I think I know what's happening. Because the place can get busy at times, people have to come in on time, and if someone cancels an appointment within 24-hours of that appointment and the center can't fill that spot, there is a $25 cancellation fee. All businesses like this have such a policy. If a person feels slighted because of this, well, they may go on this site and start filling it up with negative comments, which isn't fair. Anyway, if you want to feel good physically and get rid of some health-related problems, this place may be just what you need to get you back on track. Oh, and the neighborhood is really great, too, and there's special parking below for only $3. (Ask to get a ticket from a member of the staff.) more

I had the worst experience here too and I feel so vindicated to read the negative reviews written by others who have had the unfortunate experience of going to Health Connections and encountering the Voodoo woman who owns the place (the label given, most aptly, by another reviewer). I had never had a colonic before so I didn’t have a lot to compare it to but when I walked in, I couldn’t believe how dirty, smelly and shabby the place was and for a place that conducts medical procedures, especially of the colonic sort! But I thought, maybe this is normal. Nevertheless, I went ahead, although somewhat skeptically. The young woman who conducted the colonics made me nervous at first; she was VERY young but she was okay in the end. What was not okay was that she always took me late and then, to try to get back on schedule, she would stop my appointment early. Of course I didn’t realize this at first. In hindsight, that is unbelievable that a place would do that. The other problems I had were the same as those reported by other reviewers, but what happened on the 4th visit is what I want to report. The owner gave me a sheet of paper on my 3rd visit instructing me the exact time to take certain supplements that are used to help with the colonics -- like the nite before, four hours before the appt, three hours, etc, right up to the time of the appt. It was all written down – by the owner. I showed up on time, as I had for each appt and she told me I was an hour early. I told her no, she herself had written down the time on the sheet she gave me. Instead of trying to work this out with me so I could have the colonic, she let loose on me! I couldn’t believe what I was watching! First she said I was wrong, that she would never write the wrong time and demanded to see it. When I told her that I didn’t bring it with me, she acted like that was proof I was making it up. She actually told me to fax it to her! Then, and this is the thing that just ended it for me, she told me that she was going to charge me a fee for being late!!!! Despite the fact that I was not late, in fact, according to her, I was early, and despite the fact that I had never once been taken at the time of my appt, always making me wait, once for 45 minutes, she had the nerve to say this! I told her that was it, I was gone, cancel the following 4 appts and to go to hell. What a nightmare. I was shaking with fury and humiliation. This happened in a room full of people. What kind of idiot would not only be so unprofessional as to act this way to a client, in front of clients and her employees but who would care more about hurling a penalty at me to make herself feel better than to collect the fees for 4 more colonics and perhaps a client who would come back? I will tell you who: someone who is out-of-control, narcissistic, unprofessional, rude and childish. She was actually screaming at me! Nice therapeutic experience...\r \r I hope this overly long review will dissuade you from going here. It was an awful experience and every time I think about it, now many many months later, I am infuriated all over again. Do yourself the favor. Find another place\r Pros: None. My experience at the healthconnnection was great. I was nicely greeted by the young gentleman at the front desk, and everyone seemed nice to me. The office was clean and organized. I have recomended this place to all my friends and family. \r more

I went to HCC and it was a wonderful experience . The people there were very nice and friendly. I did the colonics had 7 sessions so far and love the way I feel. I lost about 6 pounds and my energy is way up there. They had this Chi healer there who was really good. My back no longer hurts me. They give you hand out and really explain everything very well. Its a nice place. Pros: Nice people, professional, clean - great soothing music. Cons: none that i saw although I had to wait beacuse they ran a little late. more

I had chronic fatigue and did their 8 sessions program. I haven't felt this good in years. The place is clean - it is not dirty as I have read. The director does run a tight ship. I came late and she let me know that being late would take time away from my own time . Both of my therapist was really great. One time when i WAS THERE I saw Patti La Belle there. She appartently is one of their clients. I was very impress overall. I highly recommend then. They have great hours -late eveng and weekends. I called to inquire about their services and the qualifications of the person(s) performing colonics (after all, it's my digestive organs and health we're talking about here) and the director of the Spa herself (imagine that!) was RUDE, had a very HARSH, UNPROFESSIONAL phone manner and had an ""attitude"" about giving me the information. Then when I asked who owned the Spa/Center, she BLATANTLY REFUSED to tell me! I don't know about you, but I would;t want ANYONE with that sort of disposition attending to me or messing with my internal organs. \r \r Given the type of services they provide, potential clients should be free to ask as many questions as they'd like and should be able to feel at ease with the person representing the business/procedure, which I CLEARLY did not! This is definitely not the person/people I would go with. Trust me, you're better off finding more qualified and professional therapists! more

This was the first time I ever did anything like this. My girlfriend talked me into getting a colonic. She recommended this place because she was there before and saw two Eagles players in there. I don't know what services they were getting but she was impressed with the place so I decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous and asked the therapist about sterilization and she assured me that they use a sterilizer. I still wanted a disposable setup and got it. She was very pleasant and calming when I told her I was a little nervous. It didn't hurt or anything but it felt strange having water filter though you. Still I got to say although I didn't e njoy getting a colonic I did feel great afterward and I even saw a difference in my face (I have acne problems) even after one visit. The place was not as bad as I am reading on this site. True, the desk was pretty cluttered and the phone was ringing constantly. They seemed to be short staffed. The therapist was very knowledgeable and and pleasant and gave me great information at the end of the session and spent time going over everything pretty thoroghly. I met the owner who was talking to my girlfriend and she seemed nice enough. I was really impressed with the results and the staff really did seem nice to me. I guess everyone has their own experience. Mine was good. more

I was unsure what to expect as I have never been to a holistic facility before and never had a colonic. As a first time patient I was greeted by the receptionist who asked me to fill out paperwork . She then began a 20 minute personal call while ignoring the buzzer for the door. I sat there for 20 minutes while noticing just how unorganized the office was. The desk was messy, shipment boxes where laying on the floor, and the carpets were filthy. Another patient came in and I asked her if she had ever been there before. She said yes, and that the new staff was the reason for the chaos. I started to consider seriously walking out. My tech was friendly but brief while explaining the process. The room definately needed to be updated. Overall, the actual procedure okay and she explained everything that was going on. I didn't feel embrassed and is was not messy at all. I would say if you are looking for an updated facility do not go to HCC. Things that need improvement are actual facility, train the rest of their staff, fire the receptionist, and give better after care instructions. Definately pretty pricey. more

As a first time patient, I?ve experienced several encounters with the owner. You can first start by the owner walking around the establishment with dirty feet and that should have been my first sign to get up and leave. If you need to reschedule an appointment, the owner becomes argumentative and irate; very unprofessional. The colonic is performed with instruments that are not cleaned properly & there is water dripping everywhere. They do not replace the tubing and is supposed to be ?cleaned like a doctor?s office??but judging from the looks of the establishment if you don?t want hepatitis C?do not go there!!! They are more concerned about obtaining payment from customers than proper treatment. Signs for tips are everywhere in this establishment, which is frustrating seeing how no one even bothers to clean. Very disappointed!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC experience!! Staff person, seemingly untrained & mostly inexperienced left to do colonic on her own. Midway called director for help. Demoralizing & MESSY experience! Director unapologetic, accepted no responsibility & blamed me for being ""gassy"". 17 years experience & she excuses that I am gassy? She offered no refund, no discounted future visit (not that I would have accepted) or anything of the kind. Instead she insisted that although I had just endured an absolutely humiliating experience, [facility lacked adequate services for washing myself; I had to disrobe because it was dripping w/ water & fecal matter. Her shower appeared inoperable & certainly unclean. She lacked even a towel & face cloth. I ""washed"" at bathroom sink w/ paper towels], I had received good service & it was she & her staff who had suffered because of my ""gassy"" mess. Go figure! The possibility of any such result in the event I was gassy was never explained to me, nor have I ever heard of anyone having a similar experience. I share the concern of the only other posting re: cleanliness. The director & new staff member ""cleaned"" & presumably disinfected treatment room in less than 10-15 minutes. In the time it took me to ""clean"" myself & basically use the bathroom ($90 to use the toilet), they had the room set up & prepared for the next client. I smelled no cleaning solution, saw no signs of replaced equipment or the like. My final consultation was held in open reception area w/in earshot of waiting customers, providing no opportunity to discuss these or other concerns of a personal nature. I left facility feeling deflated, humiliated, unclean, concerned (& remain so) about my exposure to other people's germs & mostly bewildered. Certain there must be some explanation, so I returned to facility to discuss the matter w/ the director. I have shared w/ you her responses. Not only do I NOT RECOMMEND this facility, I say RUN don't walk, as fast as you can in any other direction! Pros: NONE! Cons: EVERYTHING! more

As a health center, the complete lack of cleanliness and professionalism was remarkable. As a first time patient, no one introduced themselves or even read my file. Signs for tips are everywhere in this establishment, which is frustrating seeing how no one even bothers to clean. \r Very discouraging experience all around. more
