Quite frankly I have no idea how they are able to offer full 60 minute and full 90 minute massage sessions AND their same prices since 1998. Think about it, over 12 years now! Ser...

Russel is destroying this business! 12/31/2011

I've been trying to schedule an appointment for over 2 weeks now. I've got to say, this has been one of the WORST customer service experiences I've ever had. I've called them half a dozen times and spoke to a man named "Russel" several times. The first time I called, he said he can't take appointments and a manager would call me back...spoiler alert: that never happened. I left several messages over the following days and finally got reconnected with Russel who proceeded to shout/yell at me over the phone and finally hung up on me. If the manager or owner is reading this: I would seriously consider firing Russel. He is ruining your business. Based on his interactions alone, I am refunding my gift certificate and asking the giver to get me a massage at another local business. AVOID! more

liars and cheats 4/21/2011

it is too obvious that the owner is coming on here and writing his own reviews under a false name! look at the attention to details... shameless promoting. more

Booking appt. is difficult 4/4/2011

Can't ever reach a "live" person and they don't return phonecalls. If you are thinking about buying a "package" think again. After your first appointment you may never be able to reach someone to get your follow-up visits. more

Excellent treatments and incredible pricing too 10/28/2010

Quite frankly I have no idea how they are able to offer full 60 minute and full 90 minute massage sessions AND their same prices since 1998. Think about it, over 12 years now! Seriously, I HATE going to places that advertise 1 hour and then once you arrive it's ACTUALLY 50 minutes!!! The key to getting a GREAT MASSAGE anywhere is to try different Massage Therapists until you find one that's best for you. That's why The Healing Arts offers their Introductory Special which is a discounted price for your 1st visit with each Therapist. Once you find a Therapist that you enjoy then make sure you get a massage at least once per month. It's the same arrangement that I've had with my barber, Roger, in Tempe for over 18 years now. It's called INVESTING in a relationship . . . Which few people understand how to do these days. :~) Vaughn more

Amazing Massages and Incredible Prices too! 10/27/2010

Quite frankly I have no idea how they are able to offer full 60 minute and full 90 minute massage sessions and still @ their same rates since 1998. Think about it, over 12 years now! Seriously, I HATE going to places that advertise 1 hour and then once you arrive it's ACTUALLY 50 minutes!!! The key to getting a GREAT MASSAGE @ The Healing Arts is keep trying different Massage Therapists, they have 20 or so, until you find the one that you enjoy and then make sure you get a massage at least once per month. It's the same arangement that I've had with my barber in Tempe, Roger, for over 18 years now. It's called INVESTING in a relationship . . . which few people understand how to do these days. Otherwise known as lazy. :~) So here's the math: Even @ a modest 3% cost of living increase X12 years they should be charging $53 instead of $39. I'll bet that would cover the cost of a Secretary. :~) Vaughn more

Unprofessional Management 8/16/2010

Good luck getting anyone to answer the phone! I went there several times, when things were good. They used to have an excellent receptionist, she always seemed to have the phones under control. Now calls get sent to voice mail, and if I'm lucky if I get a call back the next day. The "gentleman" who finally does answer the phones (Russell, says he's management) is very rude. He basically said I was not a priority because I wanted to book a spa special. He acts as if it puts him out of his way to book an appointment... should be seeing me as dollar signs instead of an inconvenience! Furthermore, the place is cluttered with knick-knacks wall to wall, it's too much junk. And just when I found a massage therapist I loved, Kimberly, she was gone, as well as the esthetician, Brenda, they both were the ONLY reason I continued going there. more

Healing Arts Day Spa 8/17/2005

This day spa is really wonderful! Terrell Lynn, one of the owners, gives an amazing hot stone massage. If you are aching from serious stress, Terrell is a great person to see. She really gets into your muscles really deeply to work out the kinks. If you are not into that kind of massage, there are other people there who will be more gentle on you. They also have great facials, wraps and body scrubs. This spa gives high class services without the high class prices. They also have a location in Mesa. more
