We came here on a weekend, and waited for 15 min. to get helped before hunting someone down. I gave some guidelines as to what we were looking for ? size, style, color, price range ? and we were left at a bookshelf full of binders. It was overwhelming, since we?d asked to be pointed to a couple of brands that might suit us well, and they carry a HUGE selection. I figured they were just too busy on a weekend, so I emailed via their ""Contact Us"" link, and got no response. Since no prices or items are listed on their website, you have to look up each company via their vendor list, find items you like on the individual websites, and call Harold?s to have them look up the info about pricing, etc. So I called and read off a handful of items to get info, but all the stuff turned out to be either too big for our space or out of our price range or the wrong color. I mentioned we?d tried to come in had no luck, and asked the sales clerk to point me in the direction of a brand or two so I'd be able to look more efficiently. The clerk suggested 1 brand that was a totally different style than what I?d described, and said we should come in on a weekday instead, but we both work full-time and they close early. I asked if we could make a weekend ""appointment"" ? nope. I get that this store is very busy, but every step of the way we got no help, and we weren't being crazy demanding ? for all I know, they have a terrific selection of lighting fixtures, but I couldn?t tell you, because they just didn?t help. I wish Harold?s had better service because I like the idea of going somewhere local and family-owned instead of a big chain like Home Depot (which keeps its lamps in stock so you don?t pay shipping, unlike Harold?s), but they just made it a very unpleasant experience. I hope other people have better luck that we did with them, but I'm really not impressed and I doubt I'll go back if I ever need lighting again in the future.
