Unfortunately for Dr. Harewood, her staff has taken the personal touch out of her practice. It is a well oiled machine that leaves you feeling just like another patient with a checkbook and insurance card and not a valued patient/client. I've been going to Dr. Harewood for many years and have been relatively satisfied. Her hours are mon-Thur and the last appt is at 3pm. You also must give 48 hours notice. Unfortunately, for those of us who have busy schedules and need to reschedule this is not optimal. A few years ago, I had to reschedule only to be called the next morning at 7am and then the next day at the same time trying to get me in. I did not feel like this was for my own good but to fill a chair. Last year I had to cancel to due a last minute business trip. I called the day before which was not 48 hours notice but only 24. At that time I was told that I would be charged in the future. I received a letter telling me it would be a $130 charge in the future. One year later, after a few dental procedures, I was out of town for two weeks to which I missed my appt. When I returned I had many calls from the office asking me to call and confirm my appt. I did not receive these until after the appt but figured I would be fine since they asked me to ""call and confirm"". Low and behold I received a charge for $130 in the mail and received a lecture from the office person. I realize that dentists may have problems with no shows and there may need to be a fee. However, $130 is ridiculous, no lecture is needed, and there needs to be some thought to how you treat your clients. I believe they need a little lesson in Customer Relationship Management. Maybe it was just not a good fit for me but it left me with a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not return. This is the first time I have written a bad review on anything which says it all.
Cons: No flexibility, condescending office help, ridiculous prices
