My Goddaughter moved into this neighborhood 2 years ago. That is when I discovered this wonderful restaurant, Hanratty's. I have taken her and her mother and other friends to this restaurant for dinner several times. We have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is good at a great price! The staff is great. It is the quintessential New York neighborhood restaurant. The tables are well spaced, so you never feel like you're being herded like so many NY ""reasonably priced"" restaurants seem to do. You will be treated well, respectfully and well fed and not have to drain your bank account. This restaurant embodies a New York City that is more and more difficult to find. I highly recommend it. Negatives? None. Go there after a great day at one of the world-class museums on Museum Row (5th Avenue). You will be delighted.
Pros: Ambience, food, service, price
Cons: If you dislike the above and crave being ripped off -- this is not the place for you.
