Last Minute Emergencies 6/22/2011

I have to be honest and admit that above all retails stores H& M is not at the top f my list. In comparison I would consider myself more of a Forever 21 girl. However, I do stop in from time to time when I want something different. When I am there it is often hard for me to find things simply because I don't really know my style in this store. Recently, I had an event to attend after work (very upscale rooftop lounge premiere). To make things worse I had let the date of the event slip my mind and came into work with nothing to change into. I left an hour early making a mad dash to just about every major store you could possibly think of in herald square and came up short. Finally I decided to stop by H&M with a friend for one final attempt. I snagged a gorgeous multicolored strapless fitted cocktail dress for $25 and some strappy platforms for $19.99. The staff was very helpful and it didn't break the bank. I managed to get red carpet ready in less than an hour and I owe it all to the store that I least expected it from. H&M is definitely the spot for resolving last minute emergencies. more

shop til you drop 5/20/2011

Only recently I started going to H&M but most of the time I was really happy with my shopping excursion. The clothing is really inexpensive - you can get a bathing suit for under $18 bucks, and I also bought two pairs of jeans, a dress and a couple of t-shirts for about 100 bucks, which made me really really happy. The one down side was that they run through their stock pretty quick, so the old adage first come first serve holds true in this case. One of the things I really like about H&M besides their cheap prices and cool clothing is that there are two stores in solo, within blocks of each other, and two more stores on 34th street - and even when they are crowded the line moves really fast, which is awesome. There sales people are always willing to help, but they don?t stalk you down the aisles, like they do in some stores which I really appreciated. Now if they only had more clothing in stock, it would be perfect. more

I like the lay out of the store I just wish there were more sales associates walking around the store for when i have those random questions. i also went on a pretty warm day and the store was very hot and it was uncomfortable to shop. also the lines were pretty long. the guy in the fitting room was pleasant though. more
