First I want to say I thought that this experience was good at first. I had bad credit and voila! here is a finance company that is willing to give that second chance. Of course I jumped on it. I should have never went into it alone but I did because I was happy that I was able to do this by myself. So I purchased a Town and Coutry for an amount that was way over what it was worth. But what are you gonna do? So here I am making these payments for 4 years at $443/ month. Yeah way too much but I needed a vehicle. My son wasn't even paying that much for his brand new 2009 Silverado p/u truck. So I lost my job at the end of Dec. 2010 and have since been out of work. I immediately called the finance co. and told them my situation. They seemed to be willing to work with me at first. First month went by and they let me pay just the interest that accrued so I actually was only paying half of my payment. Next month rolls around and I am still not working, no income at all. I spoke with Laurie and told her but she seemed so persistent as to me making my payment. So what am I gonna do??? Pick the money off my money tree in my back yard. I told her repeatedly before the conversation ended that if anything changed at all with my income that I would contact them immediately. So nothing had changed and there I was 2 months later. They did nothing but call me and harass me repeatedly. I understand they want their money but where the heck am I gonna get it? I did talk to a man, who was quite rude and ignorant, once and all he could say was that I owed this and that, even after I told him I still didn't have any income. He then proceeded to say to me that my license was probably susupended and I didn't even have insurance on the vehicle. I told him he better get his information straight before he opens his mouth because he didn't have a clue as to what he was saying. I had insurance and a valid license. And why the heck was he so worried about that if he thought that was true after two years. Noone certainly worried about it when I was able to make payments. After that I never bothered to take anymore calls because there was no new information I could give them. Just come get the vehicle. I guess they thought they were doing me a favor. Well I thought they were at first. I couldn't afford that van so there was really no use in me trying to communicate with them at that point. Well they finally came and got the overlypriced vehicle which to me is kind of a relief. I understand I am still indebted to them but I don't need their harrassing phone calls anymore. And oh as far as them trying to help me well figure it out. My loan was for approximately $14,000. So take $443/month for 4 years. $21,264. Yeah how about that. That's exactly what them crooks would have made off of me. And the total is actually more than that because my loan was more than $14,000. Around $8000. I paid for 2 years on that thing and still owed over $10,000. That's why they didn't want to take the van back so easily and waited almost 3 months. Never again.
