Hammonds Wood Floors

The quality of work with Hammonds Wood Floors was spectacular. They are not the cheapest place to go, but the quality of the work was outstanding. There was a issue about the color of the floor. I was told it would be a certain color and it turned out to be much darker than what was expected. Due to this we had the floors redone. They could have been better about understanding that the communication about the color lead to the issue. Marty was a little inflexible, not acknowledging that his worker was part of this miscommunication. At the end of the day, the work was really great. more

The main issue I had with Hammonds Wood Floors was the lack of communication. They would say they would get back to me in a timely manner but I would eventually have to follow up with them. They would just show up and expect me to meet them in 20 minutes. It was always me that had to go to them to get updates. The technicians that did the work were very professional, nice, and respectful. The final product looks awesome. more

Hammonds Wood Floors had done work for me before. We live in a high-rise condominium and we had water damage from our neighbor upstairs. We have hardwood oak floors with a herringbone pattern that became warped. It was not a large area, only about thirty square feet, but the trick was to match the existing color and sheen, and Hammonds did a wonderful job of that. The men that they sent were very professional. They kept the place clean, and they were very conscientious about being respectful of any furniture or wall coverings that were adjacent to the repair site. I especially wanted Hammonds to do this job because they had done a job for us in our larger house in New Braunfels, and I knew they did exceptional work, so I asked that they come on this job. more

I had a lot of concern about my floors, got several bids and one company even said it couldn't be done. Hammonds was confident from the beginning that the floors would handle the process well and be beautiful when done. Mr. Hammonds even made a personal visit to my house because I was so nervous. Jeff was wonderful and Danny was professional. My floors look fabulous! I will always recommend Hammonds Wood Floors from now on. more

Hammonds Wood Floors did an excellent job. Our salesman, Jeff, was very good, and Joe, the installer, was an absolute artist. He had to splice the floors together, and you cannot tell at all where it was damaged. You cannot see where one sections stops and the other starts. I highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again. more

Everything went great. We were uncertain of what type of floor we wanted. Our house was all tile, and we didn't want to have to rip it all up. Hammonds Wood Floors suggested engineered floors. I hadn't been in a house with engineered floors before and was worried that it might be noisy, like Pergo. It isn't noisy at all. The floor came out beautifully. It looks like hardwood flooring, and it is nice because it doesn't have any particle board in it. Hammonds Wood Floor also did the installation for us. I was worried because I have a lot of allergies and asthma, and I was afraid of all the dust and the finish. They helped us pick a particular floor that was pre-finished. They were also very careful while working. They brought a hepa filter to get all the dust. There was really no mess and nothing to bother me. Everyone at Hammonds has their own job that they are great at, whether that is sales, installation, or customer service. Of course everyone interacts together, but they are each good at what they do. The main thing is that they have been in business for 28 years, and even in this economy they are running a local business. I think the reason for their success is the way they treat their customers, and the fact that they know their product. They stand behind their work and do a good job. more
