These guys had me fooled at first. Seemed nice and wholesome. Fixed my blinker (way overcharged) but fixed okay. Second visit was hell!! My car has had very little power and has been staling at stops clearly my fuel filter a very cheep part by the way. But nooo not to Hammetts they wanted to charge me for any other EXPENSIVE part they could think of, to them it could never be as simple as my fuel filter. I had discussed my car troubles with a family friend who has been an expert mechanic for years and years, he didn't even have to think twice to tell me it was my fuel filter, (something Hammetts could just not figure out) So after I had to tell them to check the fuel filter at least three times to get them to listen they finally checked it and replaced it because as I had already said it needed to be changed!! And surprise my car is fixed! It makes me sick that I, a 24 year girl had to tell these so called mechanics how to fix my car! And of course they still charged me for it! Now this is the real NIGHTMARE part, me and my mom picked my car up and decided to take it on a little drive to see if the stalling had subsided there was no more stalling, but a horrible very strong gasoline smell! We pulled over into a parking lot and sure enough underneath the car there was gasoline dripping at a very fast and dangerous rate from the fuel line!!! VERY DANGEROUS! After me and my mom walked home in the dark leaving my car in a parking lot I remembered the son and father Hammetts had told me they had ""Really run my car hard"" to try and get it to stall and check the horse power!!!! What the hell!! They broke my car,!!! my guess is they flew over a speed bump and split my gas line!! Stupid idiots!! Screw them and Screw there so called business. They don't know what they are doing and if you want your car back in one piece DO NOT GO TO THEM! They clearly do NOT care about other peoples property which is pretty damn ironic for a auto repair shop! They are a joke!
