BEST AUTO REPAIR SHOP EVER! If you have any car issue, this is THE place to go! Service was amazing! And the owners and all the staff are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. Most importantly, they are honest people with the highest level of integrity. They are the mechanics that you can trust! So I was having a transmission issue, and since they are next to my house I took my car there. I knew this time is going to cost me a fortune. Haji inspected the car for me, and said he might have a solution. He then test the car for the next two days, and let me know I don't need to change transmission, just some internal fixing. And better yet, after his fixing, my car drive 200 times better than before! Much Smoother and quite. He literally checked everything to make sure the car is running perfect. Any mechanic could have just said transmission is broken and make a lot of money out of it, but not for them. No only they save me a lot of money and headache, they also fixed the car better than i have ever drove before! I cannot recommend Haji Auto repair higher and it is now my go to place for my car! more

I'm selling my car and I wanted someone to take a quick look at it just to make sure nothing major was wrong with it and to get a sense of any minor issues. I took it to Great Bear, which is near my house, and they tried to rip me off. They told me that my right tie rod end was so loose my wheel was about to fall off and that I needed 2 new tie rods (among other things). The guy there tried to convince me it was dangerous and unfair to sell my car like that. I knew this couldn't be true because (a) the steering seemed totally fine and (b) I had just gotten my tie rod ends done about 200 miles ago. So...I did a google search for ""honest mechanic Woodside"" and found Haji. I took it in and explained the situation. He checked the car out for me and confirmed, as I expected, that there was absolutely nothing wrong and that my tie rod ends were fine. He replaced a headlight that had mysteriously burnt out and completely vanished as soon as I drove it away from Great Bear. The whole inspection and headlight replacement was very reasonable. Mohammed was extremely kind and friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Haji Auto Repair. more

My lifetime Mechanic. 5/22/2012

As a female is hard to find someone who you can trust. I feel like I can trust Haji Auto repair. I have come to Haji's for the last 15 years and I have no complaints. honest Mechanic?wanted to charge me $55 to read engine light 5/20/2012

that was my second time to visit Haji , First time I experiences lot engine shakes on cold start . I went there then he said , I need to change engine and trany Mount .the he get back to me and told me , your transmission mount is fine ,however he charge me same money for the labor ?!!!?? .it didn't fix my engine shake . Second time : I experience over heat engine , so I went to him to fix the over heat , Haji said : you have an engine light so I will charge you $55 just to read the engine light ( it is free in autozone and pep boys ) however I knew what is the engine light for ... then he told me I cant fix it you have to pay the $55 , because i am going to use my 12 k scan tools !!!???! . well just to let everyone knows dont Pay $55 to read the engine light just go to auto zone or pep boys it is free and use googl. e search tools (free) to find your issue , good luck , just wanted everyone know my experiences more

GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! 4/12/2012

I went there to fix the brakes on my car. I found about the place from the internet and chose them for the good reviews they had. My experience with them was good too. The people there were friendly enough and fixed my car for a very reasonable price. They told me what needed to be done and estimated cost and wait time and fixed it within the given margin without ripping me off. Honest and reliable mechanic shop, would definitely recommend them!!! more

Would definitely recommend...very honest 9/6/2011

First off I'm a female, so this might make me a potential target for rip off shops, etc. Anyway, here's my story. It felt like my transmission was slipping so I took my car to a transmission place in the bronx (they had decent reviews on google places) on Boston Post Road. They told me it was definitely slipping and just to open it up to see what the problem was would be $500, then on top of that would be the cost of repair....whatever that would end up being. I looked at the reviews on here and decided to go to Haji Auto for a second opinion. Surprisingly, he told me nothing was wrong with my transmission. I was just very very low on transmission fluid. He filled the car with fluid and charged me very little....don't even remember the amount. The owner told me to never ever do a big job on my car without a second or even a third opinion. Shortly after I realized that the fluid must be leaking out. I took the car to a local auto shop and they charged me just over a $100 to fix the leak....it was some type of hose that was leaking. I would definitely recommend Haji and I would go there again. more

I have odyssey & have some thing wrong with transmission one of the sensor was not perfoming so i check it with my old mechanic he gave me estimate of $1100.00 & want to keep the van for 3 days, I check with aamco they gave me price of 2500.00 & I have leave the van 3 to 4 days you know in this tough time its ot easy to spend this type of crazy money. So one I was serching on the internet I come across Haji auto repair & I start reading the review out 17 non of them was bad about him I thought let me check him. When I told him the problem he check in computer & told me the price you want believe that it $167.00 & it took him one hour to do the job.I m working with a car service you cab driver how they are.Mr. Haji is wonderful man & the honest mechanic I have ever met. To my review reader I'll highly recomend to go & try once you will know the difference. Thanks you Sir. more

Out of the Ordinary 7/12/2011

After a bad experience with an auto mechanic, I was hesitant to repair my truck. Out of desperation I googled ""honest auto repair"" and found Haji and Mohammed. After they looked at my truck, Mohammed explained everything in great detail, and even showed me all the broken parts. He told me what needed to be done right away, and what could wait for a while. They could have easily done repairs with a high labor cost, but instead they told me they were not needed right now. The truck runs great and was repaired quickly and at a reasonable cost. My fears are now gone thanks to Mohammed and Haji. more

Realiable and Honest Mechanics 4/28/2011

Haji Auto is great. The place was recommended to me when my car stalled and I had to leave it overnight in a random car lot. When I went to pick it up a local business owner suggested I take the car to Haji right down the street. I thought my car was a gonner, but they fixed my radiator for a reasonable price and even threw in some small repairs for free. They are my new go to mechanics. I highly recommend them. more

Reliable, Honest, Inexpensive and Friendly 2/10/2011

I had oil leakage and I took my car to 3 different auto repair shops in Manhattan. All of them told me that I have to change the oil filter housing of the car as it is broken and there is no way to repair it. The cost of the oil housing plus labor work was estimated to be in the range of $450-550 and I thought that there is no way to avoid it. I called Haji and he told me you should bring the car and I cannot tell you what the problem is before I inspect your car in detail. He spent one hour to detach the housing from its place and he found that the only problem was the seal (a washer), which was broken, and not the whole oil housing. He changed the seal and he just charged me $10 for that. Also he charged me $60 for the labor work while he spent almost 2 hours to solve my problem. Now it is long time after he fixed my car and I have no problem with it at all. They always tell you the truth and do their best to make the whole thing as cheap as possible. This is the place I recommend you check if you live in New York area. They can fix any kind of problem as quick and as reliable as possible. more

I went to Haji to replace a new front bumper and mud guard with my damaged one. The reason I chose this place was the positive reviews I read.. He told me that it would be ready the next day and it was. Except, to my surprise, at my arrival, he told me that the dealer sent him the wrong parts which did not fit my car. Rather than calling to let me know, he decided on his own to actually patch repair the damaged bumper and paint it over instead. I was quite upset that he did that without my consent but he promised to take full responsibility (what ever that means) to stand behind his work. He promised to call me the next day after getting the parts and of course he never did. I paid more than I expected for his work and now I have to take the car to another place to do the work again. What a waste of time and so much money. more

Very creative & resourceful... 10/13/2010

Was at the end of my rope with little time to spare. My car had been in a small accident the night before, the hood was dented & locked in place by an overriding front grille, it was about to overheat, there was no way to add antifreeze or check the oil...and I had 2 hrs to be in New Jersey. At first they took one look and told me there was nothing to be done, but then I saw a light bulb go off in their collective heads. They jury-rigged a chain-based pulley system & to make a long story short, within 40 minutes, my hood was open, I was topped off with antifreeze, oil was checked, AND, they banged away with their hammers until the hood latch locked into place, and while the car unfortunately looked like crap due to the accident, they made sure everything worked smoothly before I headed out to NJ. And on top of saving my ass, they charged me a very fair price. My hat is off to these guys & I highly recommend them to one & all. Honesty, kindness & ingenuity go a long way in a city where most repair shops will leave you with an empty wallet and missing a kidney ;-) more

Best mechanics anyone can ask for. The customer service was great. They told me what was wrong with my car, they told me what was needed to be done, and they did it in such a timely and efficient manner. I would recommend anyone to go to Haji Auto Repair, they did a good job with my car, and they can do a good job with anyone else's as well. more
