Your hair will thank you!!. You will always be welcomed and taken care of. I have been going to Hair and Company Salon for a few years now and have always been satisfied with the outcome of my hair. Ami, B, and now Christine have all done my hair. I recently colored my hair and have uploaded a picture to share with everyone. Christine did an amazing job and I absolutely love it!!! more

I have always been very particular about my hair color and highlights. Many of the salons would make the hair color too red and the highlights too yellow. John is just as particular about my color as I am. I always get lots of compliments after I leave the salon. more

John is the stylist I have been seeing for years, given that my hair is fine with a lot of cow licks. He has created me a fun carefree cut with a touch of red. The Goldweil products he uses for my locks does not damage the hair at all. \r \r My son, who lives in North Carolina and my neice, who resides in Alabama (she was gifted with a wonderful blessing from the Hair Goddess) look forward to having their hair done by John when they are in town. more

First, let me start by sharing my hair horror story. Two years ago prior to going on vacation I received the worst highlight job from a large chain salon I will not name. I was extremely disappointed as I was trying to look my best that week of my vacation. With little time to spare I started a search to find a hairstylist that could fix the disaster that was my hair. In my search I found Hair and Company which worked me in immediately. I was impressed by the professionalism and customer service that I received from Hair and Company. I walked out of Hair and Company extremely happy with the best highlights I had ever received. Since that time the only person that can touch my hair is Ami. She is an artist and aims to please her clients. I have no reservations in recommending Ami to my friends and family. more

I've lived in Houston for five years. Going on three years ago, I was recommended B at Hair and Company on Waugh. Since that time, I've refused to allow anyone else to come near my hair, except him. I once even left a day late for vacation, because only Bryan would do. I highly recommend him to anyone that just won't settle for less than the absolute BEST!!! more

My sister recommended Bryan to me about four years ago. He always did a fantastic job on her hair. One day, I decided to go with a complete different style than the usual. I had decided to go from brunette to blonde with a Marilyn Monroe haircut. \r So, I went to Bryan and voila, he gave me exactly what I wanted. No one, but I mean no one could top this one off. He gave me the right blonde, and recommended me the correct shampoo. He even showed me how to take care of it. Anyone in the River Oaks/ Heights area that is in need of haircut needs to call this salon and ask for Bryan! The first time I met Bryan was over 3 (almost 4) years ago when I had just moved in to the area, I haven't looked back since. As you can imagine, my hair styles have changed throughout the years, and Bryan has been there throughout, making sure my hair is looking the best that it can! I have even referred him to friends and family, and all have been impressed. I don't only consider him my stylist, but I consider him a friend. Bryan has been cutting my hair for a few years now. It's very comforting to know that I will ALWAYS leave Hair & Co after an appointment with him happy with the results. I have been getting my haircut by Bryan after being referred by a friend. He always ask a lot of questions about how I'm wearing it, what I like or don't like and overall what do I want to do with it. He will give me his input which usually adds some insight but in the end always makes sure my hair is exactly how i want it. He is more than flexible when it comes to appointment times. I have referred many others to him and now we all get our hair done by him...not one has not been very happy. The girls love the extra attention he pays to the process and overall results. I have never been so disappointed with a haircut and color in my life! I just moved from LA so I needed to find a good salon. I went to this salon after reading the reviews on here, they must have gone to a different salon, or the other stylists are so much better then the one I had. My appointment was with David for highlights and a cut. I'm 26 and have started to go grey just a little bit in one spot on my head. I told him that I get highlights to mask the grey in that one area. He told me that I need to color my whole head. I told him I did not want to, that I've been doing my hair this way for years, I don't have a lot of grey, just a little and it can be hidden with highlights, I just need a few extra highlights in the spot that I am grey. It's like he totally avoided my grey patch, because, it's still grey! The cut, this was the ultimate disaster. I told him I wanted a trim, same look, just clean it up a little bit. My hair is to the middle of my back, it's not like anyone can screw this up that bad, well, I'm wrong with that assumption. I had bangs a little while back and have been growing them out, they were to my chin and then I had a little face frame to blend the bangs into the length of my hair. David picks up my bangs and says, so you want your first layer to start here? I said not around my whole head, those are just bangs that I'm growing out, they need to be blended in my hair, but my layers don't start until much lower. Guess what, now they don't, now I have a chunky layer that is very visible (it's like a step in my hair) that starts at my chin. When he was doing my face frame, he had my hair parted in the middle. I stopped him and told him that I don't part my hair in the middle, I part my hair on the side. He said, that's okay, I'm just going to cut it in the middle so then you can wear your hair on whatever side you want. I said no, it doesn't work like that I don't want to part my hair on whatever side I want, I want to part my hair like this and I want my haircut to be cut for me wearing my hair with a side part. He gave me the comb to part my hair, I did, then he brushed all my hair forward and cut it in the middle anyway. Now I have never complained about a haircut and I know a lot of people that complain afterwards but never say anything while they see their hair being massacred. I DID! I stopped him twice and he still continued to do what he wanted. And it's not like it was cheap either, it cost me $200!!! I will NEVER go back to this salon and would NEVER recommend it to anyone else. more

I've been walking around with a bad haircut and grey roots for almost two months. My regular stylist decided to take a straight razor to my wavy fine hair and turned me into an early halloween witch. To top it off, today, when I had an appt with him to fix this mess, I received a call that he left early due to illness. I was livid. I started searching for alternatives but during this crappy economy I can't afford to fork over 250 for color/highlights and a cut. I called hair and company and Bryan answered. I babbled my sob story to him and he set an appt for me that same day (2 hrs later). He really listened to me, fixed my color and gave me some really nice highlights and most importantly repaired my haircut without sacrificing the hair length I've tried so hard to maintain. This place rocks. The receptionist is a total sweetheart and Bryan is an awesome stylist. What a find! Pros: appointments on short notice more

Right away I got comfort vibes from this location. The receptionist and the stylist she introduced me to, Joe, were both friendly and agreeable. I discussed what I wanted, which he understood right away. He didn't have a condescending attitude towards me or try to talk me into getting anything other than what I asked for. The appointment itself was excellent, it lasted three hours but felt more like one. Joe is very friendly and made me comfortable during the whole process - I would recommend him to anyone. The dye job is amazing, looks really good on me and was worth every penny. I will definitely be returning to this location in the future if I need anything else done to my hair, and for touch-ups. Especially if you have very, very long hair such as mine, and are concerned about stylists mistreating your hair, bullying you or cutting without your permission, you will love hair & Co. and .feel secure that your hair will not be mistreated. JOHN IS AWESOME...he made me feel comfortable and he took the time to look at my hair and talk to me instead of just doing whatever to it...so i wasnt frakin out the whole time wandering how it would look....I had this awful yellow blonde in my hair and John talk to me and explained what he was going to do and it turned out GREAT! I beg to differ with Harris2405 about Suzanne. She has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 3 years and I've always loved the result. She is very professional and detailed orientated. She's attentive and I have had her totally change my hairstyle twice, and both times it turned out great. I've had strangers ask me where I get my hair cut! I would recommend her to anyone... Brian is such a sweetheart! Actually my husband was the one responsible for finding him, and he always came home looking great, so I just had to go and try him out for myself! There's no wonder my husband came home so happy Brian's shampoo's are the Best! Even if you don't need a haircut go and treat yourself to a shampoo and blowout!
