Dreading the norm 8/19/2005

Hair Police is a great place to go if you want extensions or dreads put in. I got my hair cut there, and it was just alright, but I can see why people go there for other hair jobs, including funky hair colors. It's trendy in the Uptown way (if you're from the area, you know what I'm talking about). The environment is very punk, alternative, so if that's the kind of hip your looking for, check it out. more

If you want a unique or edgy haircut it is a great place to visit. The prices are reasonable and the staff is smart and attentive. It is located on Lake Street and is nearby plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to go to with your new cut. more

Want a standout look, try the Hair Police! 7/29/2005

So my sister wants purple dreadlocks. Where in the world would we do that I wonder...until someone mentions the Hair Police. So we go, not exactly knowing what to expect. What a great place! The atmosphere is fun and exciting and the staff is extremely friendly! We tell the stylist want my sister wants and off she goes. In the end the hair was as purple as Barkey and as tight as Bob Marley...just what my sister wanted. It looked great! Great place to get the unexpected when hair is involved. more
