Best

I bought my tickets online to see LMAO at Ha Comedy Club. I had previously seen the show last summer when it played at the other times square club. On the day I went it was a Sat...

Worst

Let me start by saying I think our previous visit to the Comedy Cellar scewed our perception of funny comics. We had a blast at the Comedy Cellar and decided to try HA! last minut...

This is the BEST Comedy Club you will find! 4/15/2006

I visit this comedy club just about every year when I visit NYC. It is the best you will find. It is cheap and the comedians are AWESOME! THey treat you like family. You could go to Carolines and pay $20 just for admission and it is definately not as good as HA! COMEDY CLUB! I definitely suggest this club for families and friends. Pros: Cheap, Excellent Comedians, Great service! more

Great place to relieve stress after work! 1/18/2006

I've gone at least 12 times. One comediene made me laugh so hard I peed. So uncomfortable going home on the train with wet pants! Cheap prices great laughs warm atmosphere. Only one time were the laughs so-so. Nothings perfect. I laugh better when the price is not going to break me. The place is a little tight but you won't mind when you are having so much fun. Be prepared to laugh till your face hurts! It's not a place for snobs! more

Nothing but praise 11/24/2005

From making reservations online to getting to the show I had great treatment. Definitely something that I would recommend to anyone just looking for a decent comedy club with plenty of laughs without forking over your paycheck more

We had a blast 7/18/2005

My Friends and I head into to the city to see comedy shows a couple times a month. I discount tickets from one of their employees in Times Square. I had never heard of them before. We were a little skeptical about the prices and quality. It was only $7.00 and women got in free that night. We all ended up having a blast. All there comedians were funny as hell and were from MTV, HBO, The Tonight show etc... The drinks were inexpensive, $4.50 for a beer. Plus it was a 90 minute show. They sent me free passes for filling out one of the comment card and were definatly going again. Who knew this place existed. Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly waitstaff, FUNNY more

incredible 7/11/2005

HA comedy club is a very good place to go after work to have a laugh. the waitresses are beautiful and very nice. the drinks couldnt have come to my table any faster. the owner who is usualy there is nice and very talkative. the comedians are drop dead funny and very down to earth. Pros: service, drinks, comedy more

comedians are a joke themseleves 7/4/2005

went there on a friday night for a 10:30 show. this place sucks. the comedians are not funny at all. bunch of amateurs that dont know what they are doing. Pros: cheap drinks, service is good, $7 cover from website Cons: just not funny more

Not bad at all!! 7/3/2005

The staff treated us very well. The drinks are worth it....not a high price, and very strong!! The comedians were good, and very down to earth after the show. This place makes you want to come back with friends. When I told one of the staff members that I wanted to come back, she had the owner come and talk to me......he gave me a handful of 2-for-1 tickets for my friends and a complimentary pass for me. He said he would work with anyone on the cover charge as long as we don't mind the two drink minimum. The entire staff was very nice. I think everyone should give HA! a chance. more

Are you serious? 6/23/2005

This place isn't only the last word in comedy, it's the last place you should ever go to see comedy. What a dump. The PA system was so loud in the room I couldn't believe it. It made me really uncomfortable to hear young performers do so poorly at such loud volumes. Unfunny and really crumby. more

We Have a Winner!!!!! 2/14/2005

People, people, people...Do yourselves a favor and check this place out! These are all hungry comics that actually work there. We went On Valentines Day 2005 and had a blast. Saw 6 comics and they were all HOT!!! Best part is you are NOT stuffed into dingy small tables with no elbow room. The drinks were good. Long Island Iced Tea $10. Cant beat that with a baseball bat!!. We are definitely going back. Our picture is on the VIP wall!! Pros: roomy seating, well priced drinks, good finger food more

A Crowds, a crowd 2/14/2005

The drinks, and the ertertainment is the best thing about this place. But I was very uncomfortable with having strangers breathe on me. The rooms are so small you end up with your knees knocking againist some guy and his wife visiting from Arkansas. Pros: Apple martini, comedians, clean bathroom Cons: small room, small tables more

Greatness in New York 11/2/2004

Just a few blocks from Times Square is a comedy club that out does many others. As a native California in town for the weekend looking for fun a comedy club seemed perfect. This one had great atmosphere, good comedians, great staff, drinks, and laughter. You were on the edge of your seat the entire time and each comedian involved the audience in different ways which I loved. Plus, the audience was a mixed crowd of both young and old so no one will feel out of place. It's welcoming to everyone and you leave with sore stomach muscles and a permanent smile. Every time I'm in town I'm going to HA and you should to whether a visitor or native because everyone needs good humor in their life!! Pros: Wonderful people, Great comedy, Diverse audience more

Lots of Laughs 9/27/2004

The laughter begins the moment you walk through the door. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, and the service is outstanding. The energy level of each show is inspiring and the wide array of comics offer a diverse show with something for everyone. Pros: Inexpensive, Fun Environment more

Cheap Acts - Highly UNRecommended! 9/10/2004

It might be cheap to get in, but you get what you pay for! The acts were really awful and the crowd even worse. Comedy is much more than sex, drugs and toilet jokes. And if that wan't bad, we were surrounded by several drunk kids who were talking to each other or on their cellphones during the acts, and otherwise being obnoxious. I was so dissapointed because it was the first time I was introducing my foreign friend to stand up comedy in the NY. I've been to Carolines on Broadway and what a difference! The line-up is a 100 times better at Carolines as is the overall atmosphere. Please, unless you're very drunk, want cheap jokes, and have completely lost your mind, don't go to this place! Pros: Makes you hate comedy Cons: , How about everything more

unreal experience 6/30/2004

I live downtown, and rarely make the hike to midtown, but i had heard quite a bit about Ha! so I thought I would make the trip. The show was absolutely hillarious. I was in tears. The drinks are not overpriced like they are in most tourist traps. It was only $5 for a beer, and that is how much you will pay at any bar in the city. plus, the barstaff was really laidback. It was so busy, but they were all having a great time. I was able to talk to a few of the comics, and they invited me to hang out with them after the show. It was great! Pros: sooo funny, not overpriced, friendly atmosphere more

Really cool spot.. 6/1/2004

I read a good article about the club in the New Yorker, so I thought I should check the place out for myself. Needless to say it was unlike any comedy club i had ever been to. the drinks were cheap, and the atmosphere very laid back. the comics were hillarious. I ended up staying after and chatting it up with a few of the performers, everyone was so nice they even gave me free tickets to come back! I recommend this comedy club to anyone wanting to have a great night out in NYC. Pros: GREAT ATMOSPHERE, HILLARIOUS SHOW, LOW PRICE more

One of the Best in New York! 12/30/2003

One of the hot spots in Manhattan if you are looking for a good night out. I came here with a few friends on my birthday and had an amazing time. The comedians were top notch, the drinks were strong and the atmosphere was casual and friendly. We had some birthday shots and even got to chat with the comics after the show. Ha! is definitely one of the best clubs in New York! Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly, Near Time Square more

I stomach hurt from laughing 7/29/2003

Me and my wife have been to many comedy clubs before. We used to just expect the overpriced drinks and try to enjoy ourselves. Not anymore. This place is dirt cheap and funny as hell. One of experiences we ever had. Would absoutely go back. Pros: funny, edgy, location and price Cons: one person bathrooms more

Good for the Price 1/8/2003

I found this cheap comedy club above average for the price; it only costs $5.00 to get in. The first joke of the night was the finger food, which no matter what you order. they all taste the same. The comedians were all pretty good though. The comedy room was a little bit tight, but I did not mind because I had a lot of fun. I certainly recommend this place if you are looking for casual fun on a tight budget. Pros: Cheap, Funny Comedians Cons: A little light room, Food not that good more

HA! Keep me laughing! 11/25/2002

HA!, definately a word I would use to describe this comedy club. I have been to alot of comedy clubs and this one is the best. The comedians are hilarious and the staff is very friendly. They all make you feel so comfortable. I will definately go back again. Pros: friendly staff more

funny and cheap 11/23/2002

Funny, funny, funny...I have been to many comedy clubs in NYC and this one had seven or eight great comics. There were no tradiotnal ""headliners"", but they were all respectable working comics. The best part was that it only cost five bucks and the drinks weren't expensive either! Pros: Funny, Cheap more
