H-E-B Foods Pharmacy

The store itself is OK... it's a smaller store but still has enough selection (compared to Wal-mart) to be sufficient. However, this place is ALWAYS noisy and busy. People let their children run around all over the place unattended, and on several occasions I've been approached by homeless or shady-looking people and asked for everything from money to a ride to borrowing my cell phone to call a girl's pimp. One man straight up told me he didn't have enough money to buy Pampers because he spent all the money buying druggs for his family... and then asked for cash. The prices are high! They tried to charge me $4.50 for a bag of chips I can buy elsewhere for $2.18. The only good deal you will get is through the sales ads. This place is a headache and I would try to avoid doing any real shopping here, except for a quick pick-up of something you forgot to buy elsewhere. I enjoy shopping at this HEB. There is a large selection of items to choose from and the employees are always friendly. Sure, it gets a little crowded sometimes. It's best to go very early in the morning. more

This HEB is always packed with people shopping, which makes it great for people-watching. You can see people from all over the world and from all socio-economic backgrounds. It's interesting to see what people buy. The deli has great ready-made foods and their beer selection is really good, with lots of imports. more

This HEB has good prices, and a convenient location; however it is always crowded, even early in the morning and late at night. The checkout lines move slowly, but the people are usually friendly. Pros: Low Prices, Good Variety Cons: Crowded, Little Parking, Long lines more
