Amazing! 5/27/2006

I adore H&M because in the midst of all the comfortable, trendy clothes, they always have something spectacular and unique. I own several jackets that I bought there for less than $60, all of which I get asked about as to whether they are vintage or were hand made for me all the time. Items like these though are usually available in very limited quantities, and you'll have to check several stores to find your size. Also be aware that H&M's closed are cut very narrow in the shoulders and across the back. It's great for me, but causes fit problems for many. more

Amazing prices on trendy clothes. 4/16/2006

H&M sells quality, fashionable clothes in very affordable prices. most shirts are around $5-$20 and pants around around $15-$30. Their accessories are very affordable ($5 for a necklace and such). I love shopping here because I feel like I can get a trendy outfit without breaking the bank. I also get a lot of my basics there (tees, tanks, etc) at such cute colors and great prices. Watch the sales, and try the clothes on before leaving! I found that the sizes run small and not uniform throughout all the clothes. more

H&M is really great 4/15/2006

I love shopping at H&M. Their prices are really good, and the clothes that they sell both look really good, and last a long time. They sell both fancy clothes, business clothes, and even "grunge" clothes. Recently I found out that they exist in many countries. It was funny to see the price difference on the same T-shirt in Zurich, Switzerland versus Paris France. The cool thing is that when you converted both currencies to the US dollar, the prices were equal. As an American it was nice to know that I was not getting ripped off more

surprising 4/4/2006

H and M surprises me because the collection here is stylish, fashionable, and affordable. They sell great tops for under $20, unique skirts, blazers for under $50, and wickedly stylish pants. AND, they also have great bargains where you'll find gems if you try. The shopping experience might not be all that great as there are always lots of people and loud music. more

Great prices 3/29/2006

The best thing about H&M is their prices. They really can't be beat. I don't think the clothing is of the highest quality, but for these prices you can try out some fun new trends for cheap and see how you like them. I wouldn't buy any major pieces of clothing here, but that's really not what they specialize in. You can get some fun t-shirts, a cute new skirt, some shorts and even a few accessories and still have money leftover to go for dinner! The store can get pretty crowded and looking for someone to help you is really a fruitless task. But for the bargain hunters in NYC, this is an oasis. more

i love H&M 3/23/2006

As someone who lives in Texas, I really appreciate my trips to NYC for many reasons, one being that I get to shop and stock up at H&M. I never have trouble finding clothes here that fit, are affordable, and are cute as well. I have referred men, pregnant women, and others who are visiting the area to H&M, and I am still being thanked today. My only complaint is that they don't really carry shoes...I've seen a pair or two here, but that's it. I can't imagine how much I'd spend if they did... more

Great place to shop - Designer knockoff-ish 11/4/2005

No No not complete knockoffs but if you saw it on the runway then H&M has something with that flavor. So if you shop here you will always be in style. The dresses and coats are worth the trip because you can get a fabulous dress that looks expensive but probably cost you $59. The more expensive looking coats cost $100 but they are fitted and tailored to look like you spent much more. The sale racks are always filled as are the floors bustling. The is a great place to get something for a night on the town. Trendy and inexpensive to start and just down right cheap when its on sale. Small sizes fly out of here quickly. The store that is on 5th avenue may carry different clothing that is more upscale looking but that place sales out quickly. The store in 34th street is always crowded and sold out of stuff too. I prefer to go to the one in Long Island where there is not too many shoppers so I always find my size and the sales racks are loaded since their is fewer customer traffic than the city. The mens clothing is pretty cool and the best place to start when you want your guy to dress in something other than the blue shirt and Dockers. Something to check out...Diesel-like wash jeans...who can go wrong? more

You can get total steals here! 7/29/2005

Just be sure to check the clothing. Sometimes there are damages that aren't repairable and sometimes a simple loose stitch will mark a $45 blouse down to $2.00! I've gotten some AMAZING deals at this location. I helped myself because there really weren't salespeople that had a moment to deal with my needs... but I didn't mind because I ended up walking out with about $300 in merchandise for less than $20 - I LOVE clearance!!! more

Not Worth the HASSLE 6/20/2005

Not only is this store too crowded... but there is no help when you need it. The clothes isn't that great, some of the clothes is falling apart on the rack! Too many people, and no sales workers to help out. This is NYC, there's a billion other places to go shop. more
