Gwinnett Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine

I was a patient for almost two years and had complained a couple of times due to consistent wait times and billing staff. But after an insurance change and no issues for 6 months I get a termination letter in the mail!!! I've only had two peditricians in 7years! I was told I had intimated a PA due to my concern for my child! I was told they would be better off severing ties!! Due to recent Peachcare I can't find a peditrician in a 30 mike radius!! I was never informed that any doctor had a problem with me or my kids until I was told I couldn't come there again!!! I should've taken tho to the news as I believe this was due to insurance reasons and how unfairly I was treated!! This office disgusts me!!! I will tell anyone and everyone I know to refrain from becoming there patient no matter how much I liked a few doctors!!! Debbie the practice manger is horrible and spiteful! My children suffer from there crazy decision as I was a parent who was concerned for my eldest son and them not wanting to prescribe steroids with a lengthy history the PA refused to read so I could come back the next day and give them more money.. This was a haste and distasteful decision!!! Absolutely MORTIFIED!! more

I have to agree with the reviewers that are upset about the phone wait times, there has to be a better solution, I know they are busy, I work in a busy practice too, but come on, please work out this problem! Other than that I've been taking my kids here for about 5 years and I'm very thankful for the great care from most of the staff and Dr.'s. It's not extremely personable because there are so many Dr.'s and you can't always see the same one but they do provide great care and we appreciate them! more

I've been going to this practice since my two kids were born. The service is getting worse every day. It is almost impossible to get an appointment with them. If you try to get one they tell you that you have to call the next week for that month and when you call they tell you that youre late, that they dont have anything available for that month that you have to wait 3 or more months to see the DRS. This is ridiculous. Thats without telling that we had a high fever, and their book was full so we have to go to the emergency room. They have the worse service . The service is really bad, and the wait is horrible. I dont recommend anybody to take their kids to that practice more

I've used this practice since 1998 and have been very happy until the past year and half or so. The phone lines are RIDICULOUS. We had technology to send a man to the moon decades ago, but Gwinnett Pediatrics can't answer their phones without making you wait FOREVER! I recently had an incident where I needed some quick advice regarding an allergic reaction my daughter was having. It took over an hour to speak to someone. That was after several calls on eternal hold just to leave a voicemail for the phone advice nurse. I finally talked to someone scheduling appts. who went to get a nurse herself.(Thanks Beverly!) Needless to say I was very upset. Other than the phone issues and the arrive ten minutes early...wait forty-five policy, Gwinnett Pediatrics has always taken very good care of my children. Therefore I will continue to use this practice. Dr. Pitts, and Dr. Molock are WONDERFUL. My kids love them, and so do I. I also recommend you choose one or two physicians you like to schedule your appointments with. more

I have used this practice for both of my children, now ages 4 and 2. They have been going to Gwinnett Pediatrics since they were born, and I have had both good and bad experiences with this practice. I think that the wait time is quite long for people who have small children. I have waited for over 45 minutes at times, and I am displeased with this. This practice is very large, and because of that it is quite impersonal. The staff is friendly enough, but I feel like I'm being rushed and that my time is not being valued. more

This is a wonderful pediatric practice. My boys see Dr. Smiley and they just love her. She was voted best pediatrican in Gwinnett for 2004. The nurses and staff are great. The nurse advice line is also great. They respond very quickly to my calls and answer all my questions. Its also pretty easy to get an appointment. I just can say enough about this practice. more
