This gun store is no longer in business at this address. I was in once. Their selection was moderate to poor. Went out of business before I could return. Service was okay because I was the only one in there. more

I am a gun collector and shooter and I spend quite a bit on my hobby, but none of it will be going to this business. The owner is terribly unhelpful and unfriendly (a previous reviewer used the word contemptuous, and it is a very apt descriptor). If you ask to see a rifle, he drags himself off his stool with a discernible, disgusted sigh to retrieve it. I asked him once if he was willing to negotiate on the price of a used rifle and he said "Yes...the price will go UP", and then looked very proud of himself. On another occasion, I went in with a friend who was seeking to buy a handgun and had already applied for a purchase permit. When asked to examine a handgun the proprietor demanded a purchase permit. Upon explaining that the permit was pending, he said "no permit, the gun doesn't come out of the case." This guy is the gun store equivalent of "Comic Book Man" on the Simpsons. Spend your money elsewhere, but don't waste your time on this sullen old grouch. more

I have stopped by Gunworks on occasion over the last 10 to 15 years (Usually a last minute ammo purchase on the way to the range.) While the owner has never been welcoming or warm, it seems over the last few years he's really gone downhill (in regards to customer service.) I certainly don't expect to be fawned over, but an attitude bordering on contempt doesn't make me want to come back. He actually seems to be annoyed that you've showed up to shop. Matters are not improved by the selection as his stock leaves a bit to be desired. His firearms selection is slim and mostly used. Though his rifle selection isn't bad. His accessories stock is uninspiring. and seems to have been on the shelf awhile. Pros: Close in, acceptable ammoSupply Cons: , Limited Selection more
