Horrible hostess 3/13/2009

The hostess was rude!!! She needs a little more patience when dealing with patrons. All we asked was how much longer the wait was. I asked management her name on the was out....Della- she does not need to be working as a first impression of a restaurant. Besides, I could smell alcohol on her breathe! SO YUCK!!! more

Honestly I've never understood the popularity of Guero's. The location and interior of the restaurant itself is the best feature of the restaurant, but I wish they'd clear out Guero's and put a restaurant with better food inside (not going to happen, I know). I like their tamales, but absolutely everything else I've had has been disappointing or downright inedible (a taco salad covered in greasy gristle - um, no thanks). Their drinks (other than beer) are not impressive either. I know this is where celebrities stop when they're on South Congress - I'm still really puzzled. more

Guero´s Taco Bar 3/28/2006

This is a friendly decorative restaurant. Its quaint and has a lot of history in the building its in. The food is delicious. There is a lot to choose from. I loved the Taco salad. They offer a breakfast, lunch or dinner menu. If you prefer outdoors you can sit in an enclosed patio with that has a a sidewalk cafe setting and enjoy the weather. The staff is very friendly and courteous. more

THE BEST Mexican Food in Texas 8/8/2005

At Guero’s you will truly enjoy a five star authentic Mexican dinner. Once you hit this hot spot you’ll crave it until your next visit. I suggest the No. 1 dinner. The enchiladas are fabulous. I can honestly say I was not a fan of Mexican food until I tried Guero’s. I find my self constantly comparing other Mexican food restaurants to Guero’s. more
