I like Greenwood Market's seafood section! Small space but they *usually* have... "Squid" "Octopus" "Mussel" "Salmon" "Oyster" "Trout" "Scallop" etc... This market's salmon is ...

Check Out the Bulk Foods and Sale Wines 10/5/2006

Greenwood Market is a combination small supermarket and co-op. I particularly like the bulk bins. You can get not only the usual flour and granola but also a wide variety of items such as baking chocolate and small portions of various spices, lotions and potions, and grind-your-own organice nut butters. There is an excellent selection of organic produce, organic dairy--and a nice wine department with good in-store specials. If you watch the sales, you get some great deals here. Good, if small, cheese selection. Very good produce. And if you, as I, am an addict of the whole wheat fig bars also found at Larry's--the same ones are here in bulk at a much better price. more

Small but good seafood selection! 8/17/2006

I like Greenwood Market's seafood section! Small space but they *usually* have... "Squid" "Octopus" "Mussel" "Salmon" "Oyster" "Trout" "Scallop" etc... This market's salmon is really good!!! I tried "King Salmon" "Coho Salmon" and "Soceye Salmon" (Wild Caught). Those are much better than Uwaji--ya's salmon! ;P And you can have free coffee! (There is free coffee machine near the entrance!) more

Greenwood Market 9/6/2005

The Greenwood Market is a good place to shop for all your groceries. It's located on 85th and 3rd ave, right next to Fred Myers. It's about the size of QFC and practically sells the same food products and such except it's a lot more cheaper. If your low on money and in the area, give it a try. It's in a good neighborhood next to a lot of stores such as Fred Myers, Bartell Drugs, and such. Next to Greenwood street! more

Support local businesses 8/4/2005

It is nice to see smaller gorcery stores, so I try to shop there when I can. Greenwood Market has a great selection and there prices are fairly reasonable. The store is older, but is well maintained and in a convenient location. It is definitely worth checking out sometime. more

Wonderful neighborhood grocery store 7/26/2005

Greenwood Market is a prime example why Seattleites should make sure huge chain grocery stores don't take over. It's a great selection of organic and locally grown produce (when in season) at very competitive prices, as well as an impressive bulk foods section -- organic grains (including quinoa....yummy!), fruits, snacks, and chocolate. Greenwood Market also has regular grocery store type products too. There's plenty here for natural food lovers and regular grocery shoppers too! more
