There aren't many restaurants that can satisfy a group with all kinds of eaters. I love good food, but my heart-healthy requirements don't let me eat well at most restaurants. It either has too much fat, too much salt, or it's bland or otherwise unhealthy food. At Greenleaf every kind of eater gets to choose from a variety of tasty, organic, healthy dishes nicely prepared and presented. Everyone is happy. My only gripe is that they are not very original, but then this isn't a gourmet, white table cloth joint. It is good enough that we eat there every trip down I-5 from Portland to points South. Can you get more food or pay a little less elsewhere? Sure, but the combo of good, healthy and reasonably priced wins me over. more

Ashland's Friendliest, Tastiest, Best Value Restaurant! 12/30/2010

My wife and I LOVE to eat out! Retiring to Ashland about a year-and-a-half ago, we set out to try every restaurant in Ashland. A challenge to say the least, because there are a bunch of them in this beautiful little town. Although there a number of ""good"" to ""very good"" eateries, one, Greenleaf, stands way above the rest in all categories that we value: Friendly Atmosphere: The Best! You're treated like ""a member of the family!"" (""Cheers"" comes to mind... 'where everybody knows your name...'). Our waitperson knew our names after our first visit! Service: Great! The words ""caring"", ""attentive,"" and ""quick"" come to mind. We have 'special instructions' on some things, but our order(s) ALWAYS come out exactly right! Quality: BEST breakfast's in town... and I'm not kidding! Best coffee (Noble); Best pancakes, french toast, egg dishes, to name a few. Lunch: Amazingly tasty soups! Everything ALWAYS fresh! Price: Best value for your dollar in town! Do yourself a favor, try this restaurant! I bet you'll become an instant regular too! more

Lovely local cafe in Ashland, very Gluten Free friendly 12/30/2009

My husband and I love to visit Ashland and when we are in town we always enjoy the restaurants. Greenleaf is a particular favorite and has been for years but this year's visit brought a pleasant surprise. When our server heard me mention I was Gluten Free, she brought a GF menu to me with a smile. The food was excellent, and the staff has obviously been well trained on Gluten Intollerance and Celiac best practices. I highly recommend this cute cafe to anyone, GF or not, passing through Ashland for a wonderful breakfast lunch or dinner. It is also right down from Lithia Park, for those with little ones who need to blow off some steam. Pros: Knowledgable staff, friendly and great food Cons: A little pricey more

Something to please everyone 10/8/2006

This friendly, unassuming little place on the plaza in Ashland has a great selection on it's menu. From pasta to burgers, fish dishes to stuffed baked potatoes, and a handful of daily specials you can always find something to please your mood. There are numerous vegetarian selections, a patio for creekside seating and a balcony overlooking the creek. Pros: selection, price, creekside seating more
