Local Gem for Hikers, Runner and Bikers 6/5/2003

Need some solitude with nature? It's amazingly located right off Alameda - and if you didn't know what it was - you'd drive right by it! Green Mountain Park would appear to have 2 main parking areas off of Alameda and the from those trail heads, you start the gentle climb up . In no time, you can look back on the Denver skyline - it's beautiful! If you following the trail up, you can see the exposed rock formations in the Ken Carl Ranch area - what a delight! I got a great workout without realizing it (the best kind!) and a great view of my hometown. An added bonus, the trail is wide enough for hikers, runners and bikers alike. Enjoy! more
