If your a fan of classical music, you should go see the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphoniy orchestras (or GTCYS) play. THer are various levels in the program which all play in concert throughout the year. Occasionally there are solo competiotions where soloists perform with the orchestra. If your intrested in having your kid join this its a really great thing but takes a lot of time and money. They often go to other states to perform. They also play with more energy tan most adult symphonies I've heard an I prefer it more.
