Even though I didn't hit the jackpot, I still loved it! 3/17/2006

I'm not much of a gambler, that's for sure. But once in a while, I get a burning desire to throw away my hard earned money, and this is where I like to go! The slots are very cool, they have a large non smoking room downstairs (thank heaven!) and even though I haven't hit the big jackpot yet (or even the very teensy weensy one) I still had a great time. I also enjoy the restaurants and bar they have at Grand Victoria. You can drive or take the Metra (stops a block away). more

Fun Slots!! 12/4/2005

Of all the riverboats, Grand Victoria in Elgin is my favorite. It's colorful & fun, and they have a huge selection of slots, which is what I'm there for. Other casino's I've been to don't have such nice players - they're too crowded & people are bumping into you (something you don't want to happen at a casino). But Grand Victoria is not like that. I would definitely like to go again. more

Good Riverboat Casino 7/25/2005

There's not much in the way of casinos in this area, so we have to take what we can get. The Grand Victoria is the best of the riverboat casinos in the suburbs. I like how the gaming floor is nice and wide open. You don't feel crowded in and claustrophobic like at a couple of the other casinos. The GV has plenty of craps and blackjack tables, as well as Caribbean stud poker, roulette, Baccarat, and slots. During the weekdays, minimum bets at these tables are $5, but this jumps to $15 on weekends, so beware of that. Otherwise, I have to say that I have had many enjoyable gambling sessions at Grand Victoria. more
