This is a large indoor waterpark. I was surprised at home many people were actually there. We went during the week when it would less busy. There were no lines to wait in for the rafting water slide. That is neat because you can take either a single tire or a double tire. When you come out of the tube this is a small waterfall to go under. The bucket that dumps water every 30 minutes or so is really neat. The dinging bell signals that it will be dumping soon. more

This resort is in the recently renovated downtown riverfront of Dubuque. The resort is wonderful! It has a large water park area. The water includes a couple of large slides, lazy river, and younger kids area. They do offer hotel packages that include the water park or you can just pay for the water park. Also right next door is the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. more

This is a great place to take the family for a get away! We did a package that they had during the school year. So we went during the week when the room rates were cheaper. We got the package with passes to the indoor Water Park. We stayed 2 nights for around $100 a night. There are several things to do: mini arcade, two fun water slides, large inner tube water slide that goes outside the building, swimming pool, hot tub, kiddie wading area, lazy river rafting, basketball and a couple other things. Be sure to check out their website www.grandharborresort.com and get on their e-mail list to receive special package notices. You can also go to the park and pay by the day. Very reasonable. I think it was $10 per person the day we went in 2005. more
