Don't judge a book by it's cover, My late mother discovered this place, she would get her hair done, and go book shopping, and would stop in at Grand China... she took me a few times and I got hooked. for a while there, the waitresses knew me by face, and knew what I wanted. I've since moved further away from the restaurant, but I make the trip every Friday for dinner. The chicken fried rice may not be a very special dish, but the rice and chicken are very juicy, something I've not found elsewhere, and the chicken is in succulent strips, not diced, and makes up my all time favourite meal. :D \r \r And heck, anywhere I can get more chicken fried rice than I can eat, and an egg roll for lunch for 4.75, I'm hooked! There is nothing to recommend Grand China in the external appearance, but if you don't stop you'll be missing something great. The food is top notch low-cost Chinese cuisine, also offering some equally tasty Thai dishes. The service is good, the food comes fast and hot, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable.
