After years of trying out just about every other salon in Portland, I've finally found the place I was looking for. Aaron is the first stylist that I have allow to approach my hair with a pair of scissors more than once since I moved here 5 years ago. Not to mention he does amazing color and all at a very reasonable price. Every time I have ever been to Grace Hair salon, I have not only been greeted by a friendly staff, but I have received a luxurious salon experience. The space is gorgeous - industrial without feeling cold, artistic without the snobbery. In addition to the ambience, I feel like my stylist, Aaron McClure, gets to know me and my daily ""hair habits"" before even washing my hair, let alone grabbing his scissors. This kind of attention to my personality and my lifestyle is never lacking at Grace, and I find myself always leaving the salon feeling feeling capable of doing my hair ""just like the stylist!"" any day of the week, with a perfect cut that looks better than anything I could have ever thought of, while also feeling ready for a night out. My experience at Grace Hair Salon has not been surpassed by any other salon in the country. The employees are personable, very very friendly, and they really work with you when it comes to your hair. I don't know how many times I went to big expensive salons (*cough Vidal Sassoon*) and had someone take charge of my hair, and not even ask what I wanted, or what I thought about it at the end. This is not a problem at Grace. YOU are taken into consideration. It is YOUR hair, and they want you to be happy. And honestly, you won't find a more reasonable salon considering the great service and products you receive at Grace. Favorite Portland salon, hands down. I have been going to Thad Grace (owner of Grace Hair Salon) for almost 15 years! I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experiences with Thad and the members of his staff. I've had long hair, short hair, black hair, and blonde hair. You name it, I've had it! If its a drastic change or merely a trim, my hair always looks great. I get compliments on my hair all the time and I owe it all to him. Thank you Thad! more

I've been a regular at Grace for several months now, and I am constantly amazed at how friendly and welcoming the staff is each time I come in. Every haircut I've recieved has been perfect, and I haven't been able to stop recommending them to my friends. All the stylists are professionals that deeply care about their craft, and will make you feel like you're their top priority every time. They are the newest jewel within the pearl. more

I had a great experience at Grace. Jodi gave me a wonderful, flattering haircut that was exactly what I was looking for- young and hip, with room to grow out perfectly. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful and the prices were ideal (only $50!!). If only I didn't live on the other side of the country. more
