Got Style Hair Salon

My sister and her friends have been going to Christi for cuts, colors, etc for a long time without ANY issues. They've even seen other stylists there without any issues as well, including NAZ the manager! After several BAD hair cuts and colors at other salons, I decided to make an appt with Christi yesterday while I was in town so she could do damage control on my hair.. My hair had been butchered by a different stylist at a different salon. When Christi met with me, she took the time to find out what I didn't like about my hair, what I wanted, and she walked me through every step of the way! I should mention that I went from VERY blonde (level 10) to my natural brown hair color (level 5). It looks like PERFECTION, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, and very natural!! She is very friendly and outgoing. The salon was very clean. The staff was friendly and seem to work well as team. I highly recommend Christi at GOT STYLE! Very fairly priced for services too!! I will definitely be back to see her! I've been going to Naz for the last 2 years and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I get more compliments on my hair now than I've ever gotten in my life. Naz does my cut and my color (highlights) and it always looks great. I don't know why anyone would have problems with this salon, it's always clean, my hair looks best ever, I don't have to wait past my appt time either. I went to this salon because of some of the reveiws I read. I'm sorry that I did. My hair had split ends and I asked Naz for recommendations for a cut. She suggested a short cut in the back, layered/stacked, and longer at the sides. I was hesitant so Naz asked if I wanted to look over some magazines while she cut/styled the next client. I picked out several examples of what I like and began to show Naz. However, Naz obviously already had decided what cut I should have as she became notably irritated with every photo I showed her. I then specifically told her that I DID NOT want it as short as she was explaining since I've never had short hair. She continually reassured me that with longer sides, it won't look like a short cut. I told her that I wanted it at least an inch lower than my chin. Of course, Naz had already decided that the ""client knows nothing"" and cut my hair the way she had originally planned. I was a little devastated with how short it was and how short it looked (even on the sides). The sides ended up being above my chin, not an inch below. I tried to keep an open mind and work with this short cut. Naz then told me that I should have a body wave put into my hair. The next day, I struggled to style my hair so that it didn't looked ""chopped"" so I called the salon to inquire about the body wave Naz had mentioned. When the person answered the phone, I explained how I was just in to see Naz for a cut the day before and how Naz recommended I get a body wave. I asked if they had body waves specific for baby fine hair as not to damage. I received a somewhat rude ""yes"". I then asked when the next available appt would be -- this is about the time I realized that the person on the phone ""was"" Naz. I confirmed that it was and then asked Naz if a body wave would only ad texture and not curls and she rudely laughed at me for asking such a ridiculous question. I'm very shocked at the unprofessional mannerisms of Naz and very disappointed in her inability to communicate with clients in any way other than demeaning. She truly acts insulted if a client asks questions -- it's as if her hair styling abilities are being questioned by her unknowledable and lesser clients. I will never go back to this salon and I would never recommend it to anyone. If you want to be treated in a rude and demeaning fashion, then this salon is for you. After reading good reviews on here I decided to give this place a try and I wish I hadn't. I stopped by to see if they had any open appointments for the day and was simply told no by a bored looking woman who is apparently the owner. She didn't offer to tell me any available days and I had to ask when an appointment would be available. I know people have bad days so I overlooked that and booked the appointment anyway to get highlights done. I returned for my appointment to find the same bored looking woman would be coloring my hair. I have never had a stylist so unfriendly before. She washed my hair and left me sitting there for at least 15 minutes while she started on another client. FInally she brought me over to begin foiling my hair, she didn't say a single word to me the entire time. The other stylists appeared very nice and friendly with their clients so maybe I just got a bum deal with Naz. When it was time to take out the foil another stylist did that, and then I sat there for another 15 or 20 minutes until Naz told another stylist to wash my hair out. After my hair was washed I sat there for at least another 10 minutes until Naz came to blowdry and straighten my hair. She ended up burning my scalp several times with the blowdryer because she wasn't paying attention. She then straightened my hair oddly leaving one part of my hair sticking out in a strange way in front of my face. It wasn't a ""style"" it was her not properly straightening my hair. The hair color was alright, but I dont think the burnt scalp, hour of waiting time, and being ignored for the most part was worth the 200 or so dollars I was charged. I could have spent less money at a better salon and felt like a welcome client as opposed to an annoyance. I will not be going back to this salon and feel sorry for Naz's employees. My daughter recently went to this Salon to get ready for the Sr. Prom. She got a cut, color and updo for half the price as I was quoted anywhere else in the Woodlands. Her hair looked amazing, her friends complimented her over and over, she was so proud and excited. I liked hers so much I went and had mine completely made over. I got the works. My husband says I look like a different person and literally 20yrs younger. I can't believe the difference between the work they do here and where I have been a regular at a much more expensive salon on Market Street. In particular the cut is fantastic. \r I have not been this excited about a new Hair Style for as long as I can remember. I Got Styled and it is the best hair cut and color I have ever had. Naz did a great job. My family, friends, colleagues and even complete strangers have commented on how nice my hair looks! Naz has a real gift in cutting and coloring hair; she can transform the ordinary into the extraordinary! Her quiet charm and European demeanor leaves me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. This Salon has a following at my work based on referrals from thrilled customers which is how I found them. The ladys in my office rave about the value they received in terms of quality and price. I've heard them use terms like ""life changing"". I am a man but I get highlights as well and I am very picky. They do the best job on my hair I have ever had. Both my sister and I went to this salon for a cut and color. Naz, the stylist in charge presented herself as a ""master colorist."" This woman could not possibly be a master at anything. She is, at best, adequate at cutting hair. If you want a ""stacked hairstyle"" this is the place to go. She can do this style well. Beyond that, watch out. I have already spent big bucks on hair products and consulting other professionals in an attempt to repair the damage done in one trip to this salon. My sister's hair color came out an God awful bloody red color, almost appeard her head was bleeding on one side. She had to return a few days later to have a ""redo"" which came out improved but such a bizarre color combination I doubt Naz had a clue how to how she achieved the color or how to duplicate it. So, enter at your own risk...you might come out with pink hair like my sister or a burned scalp and hair loss like me. more

First, let me be fair and say the job on my hair was acceptable. That, however, is not the only ingredient that makes a salon one you like to come back to. The lady in charge continuously addressed me with an affectatious ""madame,"" in an effort to sound European. Moi, je ne suis pas francaise bien que je sois europeenne! The Hispanic lady who started the treatment on my hair was a very good hair stylist and her sincerity and friendliness made it very comfortable to be under her care. To my chagrin, unfortunately, the manager took over, and this is the reason I will NEVER go back! She was very controlling and loud-voiced, not only to the stylists but to me as a customer as well. The tension in the shop could be cut with a knife! One of the young stylists had no clients and sat in her chair, totally ignored by the manager and left out of any conversation. The only one who dominated the airwaves was the manager herself! The stylists were silent, as if afraid to say anything! I would not be surprised if the turnover rate here were high. This salon is by far the best hair salon I have ever been to and I have been to alot of salons. Whoever wrote the bad review on them has serious issues. There were two wonderful women at this store who work extremely hard and it is noticed. Their names were Brittany and Naze. I have been to both of these women and I have also sent more than a handful of people over to them who feel the same. It is the most sensational, environment and most importantly they do GREAT HAIR! I would tell everyone to go to this salon. I have never been so happy with my cut and color. If anyone wants to have a their hair done EXCELLENTLY go here. You dont have to worry about them leaving you under the dryer or overbooking themselves and they always can get you in. They are also constantly catering to you. I DO NOT hop around from salon to salon, and am so picky, but had not been happy for a while now with highlights at one of the high dollar mall chains. Found good reviews on the web for Naz and nervously tried this place out. She did not disappoint!!! I am getting rave reviews on the color and cut and the price was so reasonable. I found this little salon during the Christmas holidays 2006. My husband and I were going to eat at the hamburger shop next door. It was about 7:30 pm and I figured it was too late for an appointment, so I popped in and inquired about making an appointment. ""No problem"", I was told by Naz. ""Would you like to have your hair done now?"". Well, I took her up on her offer and fell in love with the way she cut, highlighted, and styled my hair! In fact, we were there chatting and having a great time while she worked on my hair when we discovered that it was almost 11:00 pm!! I have never been more happy with my hair! I've been using her now for well over a year and have referred many of my friends to her. You will NOT be disappointed! She accomodates me every time I call. I am new to the area and i needed to find a hairstylist. I called this salon after finding them on the internet and i was treated so nicely on the phone. They took me in as soon as possible. When I came in there was the cutest girl in there named Brittany. She made me feel so comfortable from the moment she spoke to me. I was able to explain to her the way that I wished my hair to be done and she was very patient and professional. In the end she did and excellent job, it was the best haircut I have ever recieved. I then sent my wife in for her hair color. Brittany did a wonderful job on her as well. My wife has never felt so confident. This salon is an awesome and very professional salon. The manager of the salon was there when my wife was there and she said that the team work was unbelievable. If anyone needs anything done to their hair this is the place to go. I am a man that get highlights done to my hair and I am also a little more particular about my haircut because it is slighly longer than average. I am an executive in the area so I need to balance style and professional appearance. That has been a tall order for just about every salon I have tried, even expensive salons in New York City where I am from. I was referred to Naz at Got Style by a friend at work who raved about this salon. When I made the appointment they were very professional and friendly. Naz is the lead stylist at this Salon and she is an absolute artist. The pricing at this salon is way below the market for this level of service. The cut and color I recieved at this 1st visit was the best I have ever had by far. There is a following for Naz developing at my office because of the compliments I received. I am very new to the area and needed my hair done in a REALLY bad way. I'm extremely finicky when it comes to going to salons but thought I'd give this one a whirl. The prices seemed reasonable in their ads, especially for having a master colorist and stylist on the premises. She did an AWESOME job on my hair! I told her exactly what I wanted and showed her pictures as an example. She was extremely thorough and neat. I got just what I asked for. My hair looks amazing!
