Goodsports Bar & Grill

This place cant decide whether it wants to be a comfortable sports bar hangout or a highbrow snobbish country club. The service is marginal, and apathetic and the prices do not match the product. If I want to pay Minneapolis prices for food I want the same quality. I have not found anything on the menu that knocks my socks off (except the prices). The atmosphere is spotless and new, but needs more personality. It has a ton of TVs and would probably be a great place to watch a game if money isn't an object for you. This place sort of falls in between. You can go down the street and watch a game and spend half as much, but you can't match the view. The staff could be a lot friendlier, and they seem very unsure of how things run. There must be a great deal of turnover. All in all it an average place. It is also hard to find. They need to get better signage. more

First of all, I think this place would have a lot of potential, if only their service wasn't so bad! I have heard from too many people of horrible service experience from this place, and I have had 2 REALLY bad occasions myself. I've never really heard anybody complaining about the food or anything like that, it has ALWAYS been the service. Though I must admit their prices for pop and pitchers of pop is INSANE! We had a party for my daughter there and our POP bill alone was over $70! We could've got everybody drunk for that much! LOL. If you are not satisfied with your meal or your experience there they DO NOT care. There's even a case that went to court over a bill where the customer was so dissatisfied with his steak and returned it back to the kitchen, but the manager still said he had to pay for it! SO it actually went to small claims. Another case was a group of teachers & teachers assistants went to eat there on their lunch break, which of course was only an hour, and after placing their orders they waited over 45 minutes and still no food! So they all got up and left, as they were not served their food anyway, PLUS they wasted their whole lunch hour with no food! Well, the manager sent a nasty letter to the school board along with a bill demanding payment or he'd go to court. So, of course the school board paid it. Sheesh. I have more, but I'll stop there! Maybe if we EVER go there again and the service is better I'll edit my review. But, I don't see that happening. more
