After a recent purchase with Goldstein Swank & Gordon I was very pleased. After shopping around to buy my husband a Rolex watch I looked up local Authorized dealers and Goldstein came up. I immediately called the store and the man who was the manager that I spoke to on the phone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product and made me feel better about purchasing a watch from them. I went in shortly after and was helped by a blonde younger woman who helped me through the process in selecting watch and assured me that if my husband did not like the watch that I chose that he could exchange it for a separate one as long as it was not worn. I felt very comfortable buying here all of the staff was helpful and friendly and will definitely be back for future purchases. more

I was looking for an engagement ring for my fiance for the past 2 months, and I tend to do alot of research online before I make a purchase in order to save time. I came across this jewlery store online and I found these horrible reviews. So I continued to do research on diamonds and one day I was in Marlborough Mall and entered a couple of their jewlery stores. I was hesitant to enter this store but proceeded to anyway. To my grief I was able to get help from the start from their employee and manager. I recieved alot of information that I didnt read online or get from any other jewlery store. I felt real comfortable with my purchase and was suprised to make one so easily. I found that their staff is very pleasant and helpful and I would of never judged this store by these reviews. I would strongly encourage anyone to visit Goldstein Swank & Gordon in Marlborough.\r \r Happy Purchase more

WORST PLACE EVER! 4/30/2011

This is by far the WORST jewerly place EVER! I went in here to get a wedding band and the lady with borwn/blonde curly hair, short was VERY rude! She told me they were very expensive. Well, no kidding I thought. So then she told me well isn't your husband supposed to come in and choose it for you. I told her to mind her own business and it's none of her concern who buys it or not. I told her I will NEVER do business with them nor will I EVER tell my friends to come here also! more

Poor Customer service 12/30/2010

It is truly a shame to see things haven’t improved with this establishment and their level (or lack) of customer service.\r \r A number of years ago I purchased a Rolex Explorer from them and was treated with some of the same level of unprofessionalism noted below.\r \r I entered the store, examined the piece, and informed them that I wanted the watch but needed two days to get things in order to pay and gave them a deposit to hold it while I got the funds in order.\r \r When I returned to collect the piece the sales woman proceeded to say “I am surprised you came back for it, we thought you weren’t going to buy and instead were just looking”, at the time I brushed it off but in retrospect it was rather rude.\r \r After owning the watch a few weeks I noticed a flaw under the crystal, I took it back to Goldstein Swank and Gordon and not only did they act as if they had no idea where the watch came from, but they went on to say that typically things like this were something the customer had to pay to fix, considering what the watch cost I was rather shocked.\r \r Reluctantly they sent it back for service, when I got it back it was in pretty rough condition but not something I can fault Goldstein Swank and Gordon for as they didn’t do the work, but the lack of customer service was a turnoff.\r \r A few years later I was looking for another watch, I called them as other dealers in the area were out of stock. When I got someone on the phone they were very rude, basically barked at me that they didn’t have it and then without asking if they could order it or whatever the person simply hung up.\r \r Needless to say it isn’t a place I will be shopping anytime again.\r more

Awful, frankly. 12/5/2010

The staff here is AWFUL. I've been in three times now where I was the only customer in the store and completely ignored--I assume based on my casual dress. My husband bought me a watch there (a Tissot) and was also treated rudely. Nail in the coffin was my last visit--I asked to look a specific cut of diamond stud and was told that they're ""very expensive"" with a withering stare. I can't even imagine what clientele they serve--my husband and I are both well-educated professionals and have been treated like kids playing around whenever we've tried to buy there. I won't go again, and have told anyone who will listen to stay away. more

Bad experience 12/14/2007

I left a watch there months ago for cleaining and a new band. The lady who helped me was pretty rude, informing me that my watch was ""worn."" Of course it is--I wear it a lot! She added that it was also old and she didn't know if they could get a band. Fine. But I left it for at least a servicing. A couple of days later someone called me with an estimate and wanted to know if I still wanted the watched serviced. I told them yes, since that's what I had agreed to in the first place. I happened to be in the mall a couple of weeks later, so I thought I'd stop by and see if the watch was ready. Well guess what? They had never sent it out because they said I never gave the go ahead. But this time the man said he would send it and call me in a week. Two weeks went by and I never heard anything, so I called, only to hear that I would get a call when it was ready. So I waited another three weeks--no call. Finally, I called them and found out that the band was finally in and when could I bring my watch in! Kidding right? No. After some checking in the back, my watch was there and I can pick it up, but with no apologies, no discounts--nothing. I will not go back, nor will I reccomend this store to anyone else. more
