Fun for everyone! 7/27/2006

Golden Gate Park is not only beautiful, but it's got tons of amenities. There is the herd of buffalo (believe it or not!), Stowe Lake where you can rent paddle boats and row boats, the museums (De Young, Asian Art, Academy of Sciences when it is remodeled), the Japanese Garden, the botanical garden, so many kids playgrounds, soccer fields, the Tulip Garden, the windmills, the Beach Chalet, Children's Playground (they say this is the oldest something -- you'll have to read the sign yourself!) and my favorite, the Shakespeare Garden where I got engaged! more

golden gate park 3/20/2006

is a great park to spend your sundays. they close a section off from vehicles for runners, walkers, bike riders and skaters alike. i've gone there with a blanket just to soak up the sun. there are talks to close sections of the park on saturdays as well which i think is a great idea. also you are close to the newly remodeled de young museum, japanese tea garden, etc... beautiful park. more

getting away from the city 3/20/2006

If you're new to the area or visiting SF, you really need to check out Golden Gate Park...Well...it's a lot bigger than any park you've ever seen...The place is huge with a variety of Museums and Botanical Gardens. It's definately a perfect place to just have a picnic or fly a kite. My personal favorite attraction is the Japanese Tea Garden. The place is peaceful and houses a number of Japanese plants and a Japanese tea room. The Shakespeare Reading Garden lives up to its name. I only wish I brought a book that time I went. There are parts of the park currently under construction, but there's definately still plenty to see and do. more

You Gotta Visit this Park When You Come to the Bay Area 3/9/2006

My first visit to the Golden Gate Park was years ago. But, I will never forget it. I had so much fun because the park is so spacious, green and colored with all kinds of flowers. I ran and ran and ran on this day. I played and played on this day. Kids love this park. There is so much to do. But, I always stick with the old-fashioned picnic. Remember if you visit the Bay Area you have to come to Golden Gate Park. You'll love it and have fond memories. more

Great Park 9/6/2005

This park has a little for everyone. It is teeming with things to do from bike riding and running to boating and nature watching. It is one of San Francisco little gems. You can entertain yourself in this park day after day without ever doing the same thing twice. more

Golden gate park 8/27/2005

When I think Golden Gate park the first thing that comes to mind is always the Janapene Tea Garden. You can walk around that little garden with all of its ponds with fish and all the little trees and just enjoy yourself. Then you can sit and have some almost authentic ladies serve you your tea. Its a lot of fun. The park has lots of fun stuff you can do. You can just walk around, look at the nature, bike ride. What I really like is that its a huge park, and its right in a huge city like San Francisco, I dont know about you but I think thats pretty cool. more

nice park in the middle of the city 8/22/2005

It's a large park right in the middle of an urban setting. You can do lots of things in the park. When the weather is cloudy, you can go running. When the weather is sunny, you can go sun-bathing. They also have a few museums in the park and a Japanese Tea Garden. The park also offers bike and skate rentals and there's even an archery field. Plenty of things to keep you occupied. more

Take a natural walk. 8/20/2005

If your into the nature scene, then Golden Gate Park is a great place to attend. I've gone there countless times, and it's a great place to release some stress. I enjoy the buffalo stations, and also the variety of mini ponds within Golden Gate Park. There's a ton of wild open space, and a great place to go if your going as a couple or as a single. more

The Great Outdoors 8/20/2005

Golden Gate Park has a little bit of everything for everyone. If you like flowers, there is the newly renovated Conservatory of Flowers. If you like music, there are always little concerts going on at Sharon Meadoes. If you want to be active, there are tennis courts, hiking, biking, and rollerblading on Sundays. You can even paddle a boat on Stow Lake! more

Dont miss this if in San Fran 8/19/2005

One of the world's most famous bridges is none other than the Golden Gate. If you are not afraid of heights, I would recommend walking the bridge. My wife was a little nervous at first, but that soon passed when we were 1/4 of the way across. The walk is 1.7 miles one way. The typical fog makes it a little hard to get some good photos. You can get to the park by car or bus (as we did). more

Come walk and hike and see buffalo 6/29/2005

There is a plethora of activities available at Golden Gate Park. The park houses several entertaining play grounds for kids, good hikes for adults, row boats, bike paths, meadows for bbqs, and a very relaxing Japanese Garden. more
