Not Good 3/16/2012

I called in an order and asked if they had an Orange Chicken Plate. The lady said they did and I told her I wanted one. I assumed from ordering plates from other local Chinese restaurants it shouldnt be more than $7.00... well it was over $9.00! So I opened the box to see that it did not include an egg roll. What chinese plate dosnt include an egg roll? The chicken was very dry, and gross. The chicken was covered in a sauce mixed with broccoli, and a whole bunch of some burnt stuff. I dont know what the burnt stuff was but is was gross. Oh, and it tasted NOTHING like Orange Chicken. The sauce just tasted like gravy. I will never eat here again. more

THE WORST SERVICE EVER 12/8/2008

I would not recommend this restaurant ever again. The service was absolutely dreadful. We were the only table occupied; when asking for a highchair the waitress motioned ""over in the corner,"" the hostess actually told her she was supposed to get the highchair. Then when we ordered our drinks she did not bring the correct amounts of drinks and bringing it to her attention only caused her confusion, seeing that I had to explain that she brought three teas and we are a table of four. After we finished our appetizers and she was bringing the main course, she didn't take the dirty plates; we gave her the opportunity to realize she hadn't picked up the plates-which she didn't. I called the plates to her attention and she only picked up half of the appetizer mess.\r I asked to speak with the manager to tell him of our experience and all he said was ""sorry."" I was very disappointed in the service as well as managements' lack of care to the service.\r I always loved the feel of the hidden restaurant with a family feel, but the service has gone downhill. The lady that used to be there was the one who really made the place feel ""warm."" My family will never return and I suggest anyone rethink their decision on the Golden Gate.
