Gleason's is absolutely wonderful !!! I have been going to Danae for a number of years. She is fabulous!! I can't say enough about her and the great job she does. I have used several people in the past and she is the best . I never have to worry if my hair color is going to look the way I want it to. I've been getting my hair cut, colored, & highlighted by Jamie for 2 years now and I would highly recommend her to ANYONE! I have my Cosmetology license as well and I choose her to do my hair. I was fortunate enough to have my hair done by Gleason's on my wedding day! I can't say enough great things about what they did for me! First of all, they were more then willing to work around my busy schedule for practice run throughs. Secondly, we practiced the style at least four times...until it was perfect! They made me feel more than comfortable by being able to say exactly what I was feeling! Not to mention, they were able to take my idea and turn it in to something even better than what I had imagined! It was a great experience and I wouldn't change anything for the world! They went above and beyond what was requied and I couldn't have been happier! It's been almost six months since I got married and to this day, I still get compliments on my hair! more

I always feel like I'm in the movie set for Steel Magnolias when I'm there because there are so many loyal customers at Gleason's that come in not only to get a haircut, but to chat and catch up. I have been choosing where to get my hair cut for over 4 decades. My criteria has always been #1 close to work, #2 a Great haircut, # 3 a pleasant hairdresser. I have moved offices many times and have always changed haridressers to someone close to my office. In 1992 I made my change to Christine at Gleasons. She met all the criteria. When I moved my office to the burbs I changed criteria #1 and still drove in to down town to see Christine. I have moved offices several times and still come to see Christine. She does such a great job and is such a great person that driving a ways is not a prblem. more

I met Jamie 3 years ago, And Jamie has been the only one to touch my hair for the past 3 years. ;) She does an amazing job. I always come up with something crazy that I want but she always makes it work. From my color to my haircut. It all flows. I love it. Gleason's has a very friendly atomosphere. I have gotten my hair done by Jamie for a long time, and I simply will not see anybody else! She is very friendly, understanding of my wants and needs, aware of new cuts and colors, a color queen! I like my hair done a brownish red underneath with very blonde AND reddish brown foils through out the crown, I know my hair is a task and if done wrong wont look right and Jamie does it perfect EVERY time. The salon is very down to earth, they always make you feel comfortable, everybody is friendly and just happy to be working at Gleasons....You feel like your on vacation, as they always pamper you with wine or beer in the afternoons, after a long day at work.... I have been having my hair highlighted forever. Of all the hairstylests in all of DFW Christine is the best! I have never been this happy with my blonde highlights in 25 years!! I am very picky customer. Christine is the only one who will ever do my cut and highlights! As a long time client, one of the best services provided is quick appointments. NO waiting ""ten days"" to get a haircut . They always make time for their clients and provide consistent, quality salon services. Another bonus is their location which is convenient to work and home. Wouldn't consider going anywhere else. What a surprise to walk into Gleason?s and find an afternoon massage spot open. It?s a chair massage, so I didn?t have to worry bout the full hair and makeup re do ( if you know what I mean) . I found them when I was in the Crescent office side going to the Bank of America? I thought , hey I have 10 min and I really have a kink in my neck?. I ended up staying until the massage therapists shift was over ( 45 min total for $45.00 what a deal) and then went back to work. What a find! The hair stylist seemed really friendly as well and they have a shoe shine and a barber WITH his own barber chair and section. You really need to check this out! Their pricing on all services were very reasonable and the place hip but not too cool for us 40ish gals :) Pros: 3 hair dressers, one shoe shine guy and a massage gal! Cons: Tucked in a corner, didn't know it was there..... more
