Great place 3/13/2012

I have taken my little cocker here for as long as I can remember. They take good care of him and give him whatever cut I tell them too, longer in the winter and shorter in the summer. they always do a great job and I wouldnt go anywhere else. more

Perfect Every Time 1/25/2012

They do a fabulous job with my little female pup! She always looks perfect when she's done. Thanks Glamour Paws! more

dog loves it! 1/23/2012

My dog hates to take a bath but loves to come here. They tell me he is good for them and I just cant explain it. Basically my dog insists on going here! IT is very easy and convenient for me so I cant complain. more

very cute! 1/11/2012

With a new dog there are many responsibilities and I found that I can have someone else take care of some of them. They do a great job here and it is so very convenient for many. more

I love this place! 1/11/2012

I have been absolutely thrilled with the work done here. I have a Westie mix with funny, multi-length, wirey hair. I have taken here to a few places but she looks the best after her visits to Glamour Paws. I can take both of my dogs, as a walk-in, for just their glands and nail trims and I'm out of there in 15 minutes. Not to mention, 2 dogs, nails AND glands, only costs me $20!! The price is right, the place is convenient and the services are fantastic! more

Great looking dog! 1/3/2012

I brought my cocker in for a show cut because I thought they looked great on TV. My dog looked great after we picked him up. I have never seen him look better. He seemed very happy to have been there and I think he is looking forward to his next visit. more

Excellent! 12/27/2011

A great find! I just moved to Salt Lake a few months ago and needed a groomer for my dog. Went to Glamour Paws and they were excellent! Did a great job grooming and were great with my dog. more

Appointment? Blood? No biggie! 7/30/2011

I had found this grooming business through reviews like you are looking now. I gave it a go and my first two visits, not bad other than a cut on my shih tzu's nose both times. I had always made an appointment. This last time I made an appointment for 10 am on a Sat. We killed some time until noon, surprised we hadn't recieved a call to come pick him up. The previous times it had only taken 1.5 hours. My husband calls and they tell him about 2:30. I'm astonished! A smoothie on a small dog will take 4 and a half hours?! So I come in at two thirty and he STILL isn't ready. We wait an extra 25 minutes. When I asked why it took all day, we were given different excuses. One man said that's how long they take. The groomer Deseree (whom we always had) says its first come first serve type deal. I ask what the purpose of an appointment is and she shrugs and says she ""can't be rushed on a saturday. Other people have standing appointments."" A standing appoinment? Wasn't that what I made? I'm furious and by the time my dog is finally ready his nose is bright red (again) and then the end of his tail is snipped off. He is bleeding all over my husband. She puts the blame on the dog saying ""he's been chewing his tail. He must have had a scab"". I know this to be a lie because I have yet to see my dog even catch his tail, let alone sit and chew on it. Not only has my dog been sitting alone away from his family for almost 5 hours but now he is hurt in two different spots. I will NEVER bring my dog back to Glamour Paws. I will find a business that knows what an ""appointment"" is and how to keep it. Also one that doesn't seriously injur my dog ( let alone not so much as take responsibility for it). Beware future customer...they will not treat you fairly and then will pile on excuses and try to scare you by saying things like ""I don't want you to take him somewhere else and have another groomer not realize how goofy he is and treat him wrong"". Really? How much worse could it get? more

Nastiest owner experience we've EVER experienced! 2/15/2011

My wife has been a long-time customer of Glamour Paws in Kearns. We're talking about 10 years or so. She has always been pleased with their work, and complimented the groomers. The ONLY time she has had anything to say that could be construed as negative was when she was charged a higher amount that she wasn't expecting, and she asked why it was that amount. When it was explained that extra work was needed, she didn't argue and she paid the full amount. My wife called today to make an appointment for one of our dogs to be groomed. Question: if she was always expressing dissatisfaction with Glamour Paws' work, would she CONTINUE TO GO BACK FOR 10 YEARS? She was told they were booked for the rest of the week, but she could get in on Saturday. PROBLEM: We are Seventh-day Adventists. Our Sabbath is on Saturdays. We avoid doing business on Saturdays. My wife said Saturday wasn't possible. She was told they could get her in the following Wednesday. She said that Wednesday would work, and she didn't say it in a mean or nasty way. My wife was suddenly pulled away by a student she needed to teach at our home and unintentionally hung up the phone before final arrangements were made with Glamour Paws. The owner of Glamour Paws then called my wife at home in the middle of her lesson and proceeded to chew her out, telling my wife she no longer wanted her business because she always ""whined"" and ""bitched."" In the middle of my wife telling her she must have mistaken her with someone else, the owner hung up the phone. I called and left a message for the owner to call me. I wasn't nasty about it, and I left two messages because the connection wasn't clear. I wasn't mean or nasty in my messages. The owner, Desiree Young, returned my call, and I just asked for an explanation for my wife getting chewed out. As soon as she said something about my wife refusing an appointment for Saturday (again, our Sabbath), I started to explain. Desiree immediately jumped in and started chewing me out, saying we had our chance to give our side (well, not really true on her part) and now IT WAS HER TURN. I said, ""Excuse me. Excuse me,"" and tried to continue to explain, but she wasn't going to let it happen. I backed off and let her talk freely. She went on and on about how my wife was ""never satisfied,"" ""always complained,"" ""never paid a tip (could that be the biggest reason for the blowup? My wife's on a pretty limited budget, and she didn't know a tip was required),"" Glamour Paws has ""a lot of customers and we certainly don't need your wife's business"" -- on and on, uninterrupted. I moved the phone on my face, and my cheek may have pushed a button that disconnected the call. Perfect storm, right? I tried calling her back to say that I didn't hang up on her. Desiree called back instead, and as soon as I pushed the button on the phone to talk, before I said a word, she was all over me again. Wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, and when I did say anything Desiree was very snotty. By that time, I was getting angry and started shouting to be heard. She wasn't about to give in. I told her, ""This time, I am hanging up."" Again, for 10 years or so, my wife has been a loyal customer. She has always expressed her satisfaction to the groomers. She has rarely said anything about the price, only asking a question when it was higher than expected -- BUT STILL NOT ARGUING AND PAYING THE FULL PRICE! And this is how Glamour Paws handles it? Another funny part ... all this happened on my wife's birthday. Happy birthday, honey!!!! WOOHOO!! If you're going to be a Glamour Paws customer ... BETTER MAKE DARN SURE YOU PAY A TIP AND A COMPLIMENT! more

Not what I wanted 6/6/2009

Brought my golden retriever in to be washed, brushed and have his nails cut. They asked if he was to be shaved and I said no.. they could trim around his paws.\r One of the things I love about the breed is how they look naturally. He came out looking like a lab. They didn't shave him exactly.. but cut all of his hair around his back legs, front legs, ears and neck really short. Maybe that's the grooming standard?? I don't know, but it's not what I wanted.. which was my dog looking like a retriever but cleaned, bushed and shedding less.\r \r I would take a poodle, yorkie, or scottie (a dog that actually has HAIR that needs to be cut) there .. but never my golden again. Pros: dog seemed fine, did and ok job at what they did Cons: didn't do what I wanted more
