They should have a negative star rating just for this store. If you want your money taken and no furniture in return, this is the store for you. Thats right, best place in town to steal your hard earned cash. Not only will they not give you your furniture, they will treat you like garbage. They have been on the news, have had multiple claims filed against them and even the district attorney is after these guys. Dont shop here. more

This business takes peoples money and never delivers furniture. The business was sold from one brother to the other, and he renamed it MFC Furniture. Buyers beware! Anyone who was ripped off by Gill's Furniture should report them to the better business bureau and the attorney general. more

MFC (Major Frickin' Cheaters) Furniture - AKA Gill's 1/23/2012

MFC Furniture/Gill's is the subject of a Get Jesse investigation on 01/23/12. Search King 5's website to see the story. Don't shop at MFC Furniture/Gill's unless you enjoy the customer service of a Soviet bureaucracy and like having your money held hostage by smarmy, crooked creeps. My wife and I have had a similar horrible experience with MFC Furniture, aka Gill's. We ordered a dining room table with chairs in the middle of October and here we are past the middle of January and not only do we not have our furniture, Joe has not provided an update on when it will arrive, even though he promised it would be here last week--on the 13th. Somehow, MFC/Gill's Furniture has missed the entire computer revolution and advances in shipping and logistics technologies. They claim to have no way of showing when an order has been placed, or where an item is in the delivery process. Basic customer service would suggest that the owner direct employees, if they don't have access to information, to take the name and phone number of customers who call, and that the owner proactively respond to questions or concerns. And further, basic decency would suggest that, when one or more deadlines for delivery have been missed, the owner would stay in constant communication with customers to provide updates and to apologize for delays. But not at MFC/Gills Furniture! Instead, you the customer get to hand over your cash and then, when you don't get what you've paid for when it was promised, you get to call the store, go there in person, get brushed off, hear lame excuses, and just plain worry. We went there to support a local business, but this is a rinky dink operation that needs to go under before more customers are hurt. Don't shop at MFC/Gill's Furniture! more

NEVER buy from Gills! 1/9/2012

We decided to try Gill's even after reading the reviews. Even told them we had read all of the aweful reviews so this was a chance to get a good review out of someone. Spent $4800 on a Sectional Sofa and a full bedroom suite. Wrong Sofa delivered and then he tried to send us the used piece of crap off the showroom floor. The bedroom furniture was scratch when delivered and the guys setting up tried to cover it with a sharpie, not to mention my completely scratched up brand new hardwood floors, and to top it off, they didnt order everthing so we couldnt even use it for another month. The delivery was so aweful that we honestly considered kicking them out of our home. Foul mouthed and very rude. The owner is an ass, extremely rude. Once they have your money, good luck getting your furniture and in good condition. Horrible ppl! very crooked! more

This place deserves a negative star because Gill's furniture are a bunch of crooks. We have paid for our furniture in full and nearly 4 months later we still don't have everything. They have lied to us time and time again saying things like are furniture is in California waiting on a truck to send it to the store. HORRIBLE 11/1/2011

MFC Furniture (previously known as Gills Furniture) Do not EVER buy from this Shady company - My boyfriend and I bought furniture on 07/23/11 - spent over $2500 - We did get our couch and love seat (only because they had it in stock) but we still to date 01/10/12 still haven't gotten our coffee table, end table or bar. We were told multiple times that they could not track our furniture (What a load of BS) Then they got very rude with us - They do not care about their customers - they just want our hard earned money. We have done everything we can - from posting online, reporting to BBB, Attorney General, and Get Jesse. They will NOT give us our money back. The last time we went to they said they were going to arrest us for trespassing and slander , and he had the nerve to tell me to Shut the F**K up. I would like to get all the victims of Gills rip off together so we can all go up there and demand justice. more

The Best place to buy quality furniture on the cheap 5/18/2010

Best place in puget sound to buy furniture hands down. My wife and I have been buying from Gill's for about 2 years now and would not buy anywhere else. The owner (Loren Gill) is very knowledgeable and personable. Also, not pushy. Takes all the time you need. Like to hang out on couches and BS for while? Loren's your guy. He is a man's man who tells it like it is. He lets you know exactly what you are buying when you buy it. Loren can tell you whats real wood vs MDF and why it makes a difference. I've checked out the competitors and they know absolutely nothing about what they are selling. Sure, if you are a military wife who can't do anything without your husband and is obviously selfish and stuck on yourself, he may rub you the wrong way. Although, for the majority of people, you will find buying at Gills a very pleasant experience. Now for the important stuff. PRICE! Gills will not be beat on price. We have shopped around and so has Gill. His prices have been compared before you even see them. If you do happen to find one lower, (good luck) it will be promptly matched or beaten without fuss. Delivery guy a day late? You can expect your furniture up to 2 weeks sooner than buying elsewhere. The do so much volume with Ashley that they get priority. So, instead of taking 4 weeks to get our couches from the other guy, Gills said 2 weeks (it only took 1 week) So take that into consideration. If you still have a problem, you got bigger problems than home decor. Besides all it takes is a phone call and whatever issues you have will be dealt with. Bottom line is: No ones cheaper, They'll beat everybody, Great salesman, and fast shipment. Pros: Great Prices, Quality Stock Cons: flourescent lights don't do fabrics justice more

This Really Is A Great Place 5/18/2010

I just had to do this review. I am so mind boggled. I have been buying furniture from this store for forever and when I read review with the SERIOUSLY unreasonable wife(don't forget!!!) I nearly fell out of my seat. Let me respectfully say someone needs to lighten up and get her head out of her wedding ring. I am a woman who has a deployed husband as well. If it wasn't for Gill and his staff I wouldn't have half the furniture I have. He has been incredibly kind and helpful. Also I can honestly say he is a hilarious guy who loves to joke around. He makes looking for furniture comfortable and fun. He treats you like a HUMAN BEING not a walking credit card. Amazingly I was able to make my own decisions while my husband was doing his job. Also about the prices. Not only have I found he has the lowest prices for the things I want but he has even cut me bigger deals and helped to get everything in my home when my husband left. I don't expect people to treat me different because of my husbands job but Gill went the extra mile for me many times. I didn't demand my furniture immediately yet I got it quicker then any other store has ever delivered. Before I found Gills I was hounded by sales people who drove me INSANE with there desperation to make their cut. All they cared about was selling furniture not ME as a person or what I may want for my home. It was very stressful and a big waste of time. And here I thought I would drive Gill insane with my constant changes and decisions (I am picky!). One day I spent 4 hours going through his books and sending the guy running back and forth through the store checking on this and that for me. Yet his patience never wavered and we never stopped having a good time. In the end I have a gorgeous house full of furniture I wouldn't have been able to obtain with out Gills prices, help and kindness. It's sad that a good store had to get a bad review over something so totally ridiculous but when I drop in to buy my new bed this weekend we will have a good laugh about it. Good prices, poor customer service 3/14/2010

I'm a military wife and I work from home. I'm also and educated individual. When I walked into Gill's, Loren was on me like white on rice. That's when the sales schpiel started. ""You don't need to consult your husband""... I found it personally offensive. I consult my husband because I respect him. That's not for anyone to chime in on. I also consult him because he's currently deployed, and while having some say in what major purchases I make isn't absolutely necessary, I do it because it's a simple kindness. Something to help him still feel involved in my life, our life together. I ordered because they are cheap, and I paid for delivery. I made sure to let Loren and his brother know that I needed to make sure that the delivery company contacted me because I was having a dental procedure done. They said not to worry about it, they faxed the sheet over. The day passes, I call Gill's because I paid my furniture in full and still NO FURNITURE. They don't know what's going on - and here's the number, call the guy... I call the guy, the gentleman that supposed to be bringing my furniture. The fax never went through. And, there was zero effort on Gill's part to even find out. Here's what's upsetting. They knew that my furniture hadn't been picked up because it was still sitting in the back of their store. All it would have taken was for them to get off of their ass and walk back there. They wouldn't do it. After I emailed them and expressed my dissatisfaction with their customer service. This is our correspondence:
Me to Gill's: I'm really disappointed with your lack of follow through. It's actually insulting. This man delivers furniture to your customers, and you guys act like you don't know anything about him. That says 1 of 2 things about you: 1) You don't really know the people who finish providing the service for you - or - 2) You don't care. Wait... Let me start over... My name is ""SG"". Otherwise known to Loren as ""that person"" who paid for her furniture this morning. It is not my responsibility to track down my furniture. Your job isn't done until that furniture reaches my home. I should not be the one making the phone calls, you should. Instead of brushing it off on me, YOU should have called to verify that he got the fax. I don't know how long you've been using his moving company, but you should know that he was out of the office before I even called this morning. You knew that I wouldn't be getting my furniture today. And, here's the kicker - I wouldn't have gotten it tomorrow - or the day after that, or the day after that. Why? Because he didn't get the fax. So, the way it seems to me is - you guys are paid in full and it's no longer a priority to you. It's lazy. It's unprofessional. I'm disappointed. HE said he'd get it to me tonight, probably late. HE said he'd talk to you. HE's doing what you should have. It's upsetting. I was looking forward to telling my friends about you guys, was happy to send business your way. But, now I can't do that.
