Giller Animal Hospital is THE BEST!!!! We have been going here over 20 years. We have dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, birds and fish and Dr. Antaal can take care of them all!!! We wish we had people Dr's as knowledgeable, loving, compassionate and caring as Dr. Antaal. He is a brilliant and truly a wonderful man. Thank God for the few folks out there like he and his staff. They are wonderful!!! We travel over an 45 minutes from Sycamore, IL to see him and it is well worth it. Service, compassion and pricing that can not be beat. If we could clone Dr Antaal and have him be a medical Dr that would solve our healthcare problem in this country for humans! We were recommended to this animal hospital by many and was not disappointed!!! Dr. was very thorough and caring with my pets. Dr. and staff are exceptional. Quality care for very competitive pricing. They even run specials every month to help save you as much as they can. Highly recommend this animal hospital, they treat your pets like their own. Almost Killed our cat 3/14/2012

We took our cat to see the doctor for blockage,over 2 days later the vet almost bled him out, told me to put him down, took him to emergency vet in B-G he needed a blood transfusion and surgery for a punctured bladder. We have him home and is doing fine. I wouldn't bring any animal to see this man. He sent us home wtith no meds or pain killers and 1 can of food. He was hoping our cat would die so we wouldn't find out what he did. The cat was still blocked when we brought him to other vet. I am taking further action, I hope this helps you make a better choice like Lake Street animal hospital or Banfield. P.S. I had to give a 1 star to leave a review, I wold not even give it that. Cost is cheap for visits but out rageous for anything else. Save your pet if you love them don't go here. Pros: null Cons: null more

Spoiled w/a vet brother, blessed to find Giller Animal 6/1/2011

Our dog was only cared for by my brother until 3 years ago. Due to moves, our search was on. Our first reaction was sticker shock, then frustration at people pushing unnecessary, and extravagent services and testing. more

I used them all the times. They had given me a tour of the hospital which is well neat and clean . The workers are very sweet and will help you out with any question you have. Everyone they will help you as much they can to help you with your pet. I who highly recommend them to everyone. more

Killer Animal Hospital 12/11/2009

Recently took dog to Giller for an emergency c-section and hysterectomy. When I picked up pups and mother dog the puppies were hypothermic. According to everything I've read that is a death sentence. The pups lived three days then died. The mother dog was given no pain management drugs after her major surgery. Her pain an nausea were not addressed. So she would not eat or drink for days and went into hypovolemic shock. My new vet was stunned that Giller sent her home without pain meds. I chose Giller because their prices for intial exams are lower than others. However, they make up for it by over charging for their prescription drugs 40 dollars for 40 cephalaxin tabs and such. Save the life of your pet spend the extra 20 dollars for the intial visit . Pros: None Cons: Too many to list more

Great in case of emergency 5/27/2009

Caring and friendly 8/1/2006

We have taken many many animals to Giller Animal hospital over the years. They are a very dedicated staff and make you feel comfortable that your pets are getting the best care. We have had to put down several cats and they were extremely gentle with us and we were thankful for that. They have kept our animals healthy and we love them. Try to come in from the west on 64 to avoid the weird intersection! PROS: great and wonderful CONS: busy street more

Caring staff 8/30/2005

This animal hospital is full of caring and helpful staff. They provide great information and are very knowledgable. They treat each animal like it's their own. They have been very accomodating on several emergency situations with our cats. They are adjacent to a pet cemetary which may seem odd. Giller Animal Hospital is a great place to take your pets!
