Best

Ghostbar is a fun trendy spot to hangout at. Not much a dance spot but more of a social spot with hotness all around. Met a lot of cool people. Although my friend was booted due t...

Worst

Kind of a cool bar, but definitely not worth a $20 cover charge and 2 hour wait, just to pay $11 for a martini. Voodoo is much better and they actually know how to mix a drink. ...

nice place 8/10/2004

classy from top to bottom, however one of the few places that actually uses cheap liquor in drinks Pros: view, glass floor, music more

Great View 6/25/2004

The view up top is very nice. Pretty breezy too. The bar is very well done in design with the booths and couches and lighting. The people are far better looking on average than the folks downstairs at Rain. It's a nice place to just chill and meet people. Drinks are of course pricey, but, you are in Vegas. If you want cheap, stick to having drinks while playing Keno. Pros: Good Looking Peeps, Great View more

Great Atmosphere & View! 2/19/2004

We went here late on a Saturday night after leaving Rain and were surprised that there was no longer a line. Con: We still had to pay the $20 cover charge. I guess because it was so late, there weren't very many people there, but that actually enhanced the cool atmosphere, sleek decor, and great view. It's a little pretentious, but we'd already had enough drinks not to mind. Of course, you can't beat the view from the balcony and the transparent square in the floor! No celebrity sightings, but the clientele were young and stylish and surprisingly friendly. Tip: try going late to avoid the line. Pros: great atmosphere, stylish clientele, fantastic view Cons: , expensive more

Great view 11/3/2003

Better overall than the Voodoo Lounge, this is a more modern take on the view lounge. Seating is tough to come by if you are not rolling the VIP, but the deck and view make you leave your seat anyway. Line can be a drag! Seems like there should be more going on up there, but the dancefloor is a joke. Just a lounge, folks, nothing more. Pros: view Cons: line, cover more

Trendy 9/6/2003

Kind of a cool bar, but definitely not worth a $20 cover charge and 2 hour wait, just to pay $11 for a martini. Voodoo is much better and they actually know how to mix a drink. Pros: View, Outdoor area, Pretty people Cons: Expensive, Poor drinks, Too trendy more

Jersey Tomato???? 9/3/2003

Sometimes being 'nobody special' can get you into this Palms establishment high above the Vegas lights. When that happened to my buddy and I, I knew we were in for a great night. Expecting very snooty people due to most of reviews, we found the place to be outstanding. The views, the service (thanks Brittney and Geoff, with a 'G'), and the crowd were all nothing short of spectacular. I was there the Friday before Labor Day and couldn't wait after seeing in on TV so many times. When I got in, I was thrown back. Not only was everyone there friendly, there were guys giving dance lessons to women. After I saw many women doing this same dance that was being taught, I had to inquire as to what it was. One girl told me it was called the Jersey Tomato. . . . Only in Vegas. Pros: Friendly people, great staff more

Nice view..thats it 8/20/2003

The view was amazing. But if you don't have a VIP area you have no where to sit. Everywhere we went it was VIP only. The crowd was too stuck up for me. Pros: the view Cons: the crowd, expensive drinks more

Just not enough 4/5/2003

Great view and great service. Very contemporary decor. Good music. Drinks were over priced. No dancefloor. VIP is minimum $200 table service. The crowd was a bunch of immature, expensively dressed , pill popping horny toads who were all whispering about Briney Spears smoking (yes, she was there too). It was a little boring and a bit cliche. I guess we went on a good night because our cab driver told us there is usually a two hour wait. I can see why, the place is small, but I would not have waited two hours for this experience. There is just not enough going on here. Pros: Good music, Great service Cons: Immature crowd, Overpriced drinks, No dancefloor more

Great view 2/2/2003

The ghost bar is a small lounge withan outdoor patio on the 55th floor of the Palms. The whole place is windows and the view is amazing. On the patio one of the blocks in the floor is glass. So you can see straight down to the matchbox size cars. It was a really nice place. No dance floor but people dance anyway. There is a long line to get in so if you don't have a VIP pass go early. Pros: great view, atmoshere Cons: small more

Great Service 1/4/2003

I could not believe how friendly everyone was. Our waitress (who was a stunning) had remembered us from previous visits and was very friendly. The door guys were also very nice. Unfortunately the scene has a bit of cheese. Some of the partons seemed to want to stick out so bad it rivaled a bad trip from Fear and Loathing. Leave the fake contacts, hair dye, and tan at home. As for the bar...it is great...customers could use some work. Pros: waitstaff, door guys, view Cons: cheesy atmosphere, too many guys more

Good, but not great 12/1/2002

Went into Ghost Bar on a Friday night, and was pleased but not overly so. Younger crowd, but mostly guys. View of strip is amazing, and is probably worth the price of admission alone. Drinks are fairly priced, but could hardly taste a hint of gin in my T&T. All in all, a good place to stop in for a drink or two at night and to hang out on the patio. Pros: View of stip, Large crowd Cons: Drinks are very weak, Long line at bar, Medicore service more

Trendy. Meat Market 10/26/2002

Trendy meat market, definitely a must-see for a few hours, but not a place to "stop" and hang your hat. I think you'd do better drink and value wise at another bar, but the view is great and since its so popular you should visit just to say you did! Pros: Intimate, Dark & Sultry, Great View of Vegas Cons: Expensive Drinks, Not "AWESOME" drink, So, So service more

Worth checking out. 9/30/2002

Came here on a Thurs night with a group of 40, and there was no line. Not very crowded but the outdoor deck was still packed. The indoor area is much smaller than I expected. There is a clear glass area of the outdoor deck that you can stand on, but its very very small. The view is awesome, but not as good as Voodoos view. Pros: view, pretty people more

Top of the world...and loving it. 9/19/2002

This is "the in place" in Vegas. Get a "season pass" and get to know the beautiful people. Pros: if you need to ask... Cons: haven't met any here more

Trendy Palms Vegas Nightspot

Editorial
  • In Short
This "Jetsons"-esque lounge allows patrons to sink into egg-shaped chairs and stare out a wall of windows or just bask in the silver, white and green interior. Outside, an open-air sky deck allows panoramic views of the Strip and beyond. And the see-through acrylic deck allows visitors to peer hundreds of feet below into the Skin Pool Lounge. A younger crowd comes here to vibe to the music and indulge in less-expensive drinks.
