I can say without a doubt that Georgia Baby and Kids has one of the nicest showrooms I have seen. They have a great variety, and when we met Hillary, we really thought that we had found the best place to purchase our furniture. She not only helped us find out what would best fit our room, but was willing to help get it to us, which was a long way away from Norcross. Unfortunately, that's where our good experience ended. We purchased a Young America Crib and were told we would have a 8 week wait. After the 8 weeks, we were told there was a problem with Young America's production line and that we may have to wait until late September or October, which was 5 months after we ordered. With this estimated time of furniture arrival, we were looking months after our daughter was born. Well, at this time, we were frustrated that there was no furniture and poor communication between Young America and Georgia Baby, so Georgia Baby gave me the email of the president of Young America, a Mr. David Petersen. He could only comment: ""I am truly sorry to have failed you and your wife and Georgia Baby so miserably."" He offered no remedy or restitution, not even to pay for the shipping, much less a legitimate reparation for bad service. In sum, just a ""We got your money, we screwed up, and we hope you like your crib if you ever get it."" We finally got our furniture more than 5 weeks after our daughter was due. Unfortunately, Georgia Baby forgot to send a mattress - come on. Georgia Baby is hard to figure out. They have a great store and nice people, but their drive to fight for the customer getting the product seemed to be outweighed by their annoyance with the manufacturer. They answered questions when called, but they didn't go above and beyond to make the situation right.\r more

Back in July we ordered a set of baby furniture from here and went to pick it up yesterday. The store was super busy and the staff was very friendly. We went over to the warehouse to pick up the furniture and the staff their was very helpful in loading it onto our trailer. My husband had no problems putting the crib together and setting up the entire nursery. This feeling is so surreal now and I'm more than happy with what we picked out and the quality of our furniture. We would definitely refer any of our friends to visit here! more

We loved our experience at GA Baby. We shopped around and actually bought some bedding at another store. After buying our furniture here we cancelled that bedding order and bought everything here. The employees are especially helpful. Would Recommend everyone to shop here. more

Love this store! Best selection of Baby Furniture and Kid's Furniture in Atlanta hands down. I've shopped here for my newborn and again as he grew into a toddler. Would go back and recommend anyone to visit these guys! more

The Best in Atlanta!!! 10/3/2011

From the moment my husband and I walked in we were SOLD!! While stopping at other baby furniture stores in Atlanta we knew we found our spot the moment we stepped foot in the door. We had the greatest young lady help us and gave us the best advice on crib safety, construction and even helped us with the decor for the room. This place definitely deserved its spot in the Baby Bargains Book! We are new parents and planned ahead as most of our friends recommended. Five weeks on the date we received a call from our sales person that it had arrived!!! Total Shocker as we were quote 8-10 weeks!! We had one of the companies deliver it shortly after and they as well were pleasant to deal with. Overall summary. Store is FILLED with great products that I couldn't find elsewhere. The staff always was friendly, happy and simply NO HEADACHES! :-) more

Heroes! I Love This Store! 10/24/2010

My husband and I had first visited this store after a friend recommenced them to us in April of this year. I was amazed at the size and quality of the displays. Our baby is due in November! First time parents we were really unsure what we needed to get etc. The staff was very helpful and I was ready to buy right then & there! I had fallen in love with a room collection by Munire, the Newport collection to be exact. I hate to say this but my husband can be cheap at times and was unwilling to purchase on our first visit. A month later we were in The Baby's Room Norcross and my husband saw a sign that they too carried Munire, he proceeded to haggle with the owner and got a slightly lower price from them so he ordered it. Well, the nightmare began with that. We paid in full at time of purchase, the ""only way to get the better price"" and were told the product would take 4 weeks to come in. Well June became July, July, August and so forth! They kept telling me there was a delay, well after delay after delay I decided to go in person Friday and speak with them and to my horror there was a sign on the door that said they had CLOSED! Gone out of business! We unfortunately paid with a check and I doubt we will ever get our money back! The sign on the door said to call another local store Koo Koo Bear Kids that they would be willing to fill the order. Well, they were not! They said they could not find my ""ticket"" and that since I paid by check there was nothing they could do for me. I was puzzled, it seems to me that this store is somehow affiliated with the one who ""closed?"" and are not willing to stand up to the money refund BUT if I wanted to REPURCHASE pay for the product a second time they would be glad to help. What the ??????? I called Munire direct to complain about this store and was told they were not even a Munire dealer! More confusion..... were they too going to take my money and not give me furniture! Anyway.......... My next call was to Georgia Baby & Kids, the manager, who was very kind, understanding and helpful was able to hold the very same set I wanted from their inventory, THEY HAD IT IN STOCK NO WAITING PERIOD. I came by that afternoon to pick it up! Moral of the story...... buy from a company who has been in business a long time, trust your friends recommendations and if a store is willing to discount products lower than anyone else BE CAREFUL they too may be robbing Peter to Pay Paul! We learned a big lesson and now know if it seems to good to be true it is! Very happy now! Heather more

Very poor customer experience 12/15/2009

We purchased several items and the store offered to hold everything in their warehouse until all pieces had arrived, then we could pick everything up at once. A month later we received the call that everything was ready, we went to pick up the items and they were all MIA!!! Warehouse management said everything had been damaged and we'd have to place a reorder, which would take at least another month. Mangement's response was ""Oh well."" Now we're back at square one and almost out of time. Instead of making the experience of decorating a new nursery pleasurable, they've singlehandedly made it stressful and miserable. OBVIOUSLY they've lost a customer.? Pros: Nice furniture Cons: Unreliable, Incompetent, Irresponsible Service more

Nice Furniture 11/8/2008

We have bought both of our children's sets of furniture here. It is pricey but is high end furniture. My only complaint is that the set we bought for our daughter took a long time to come in. We almost didn't get it in time to get it together before she came home. We ordered it many weeks before she was due & got it 2 weeks before she came. more

I didn't figure the prices to be that high since it is located in a clearance/outlet center ""strip mall" area. They staff didn't great me me when my husband and I walked in, and didn't say a word as I walked out. I guess if you don't have money hanging out of your pockets when you walk in, the staff isn't worth their time. more

Horrible Customer Service!!!! 10/12/2008

I am a first time mom to be. My husband and I went to GA Baby & Kids to find our new nursery furniture. After a few weeks I called to see when my furniture will be arriving. I was told that it was my ""lucky"" day. The furniture was just unloaded off of the shipment truck and that I could pick it up at any time. I immediately was stressed. I took a day off of work to prepare the nursery for the new furniture. My husband and I worked Friday and Saturday so we could pick the furniture up on Sunday. When we arrived at GA Baby we were told the sales rep made a mistake and only half of our purchase was in. Not that anyone bothered to call us back to let us know. I asked to speak with the manager Andy. I explained the situation that I would not have made the trip unless all the furniture was in---his response was he was sorry. Since it was his sales reps mistake I asked if he could deliver the remaining furniture at no charge----the answer was no. The manager Andy simply said it was there mistake but the remaining furniture would be in later and we could pick it up then. You would think that when you are spending thousands of dollars in one store the management would be more accommodating---especially when it was there mistake! As a mom to be my suggestion is to find a store that is friendly and helpful. Not one that forgets about you once the sales transaction is complete! Cons: This company is finished with customer service once you have paid for your items! more

BEST BABY FURNITURE IN TOWN 12/4/2007

WOW. From the moment you walk in you know you just want to buy something. Beautiful showroom and they had most things in stock. My husband and I had were expecting our first child and wanted the perfect Nursery. We had did our homework on furniture and knew we wanted quality that would last as our child grew up. We found it at Georgia Baby. Their selection, styles and quality were unbelieveable. We furnished our entire nursery, bedding and accessories for alot less than we were expecting to pay. We highly recommend them. Their staff was so friendly and helpful too. more
