Gentle Touch Laser Hair Removal

I had laser hair removal on my legs, bikini line and buttocks at Gentle Touch. Initial price comparisons showed them to be the best value. They explained the process clearly, and the expected results. There was never a wait, when your appointment starts they are ready, which is the idea of an appointment, but seems unusual elsewhere. They were flexible with appointments. Professional treatments, clean and hygienic, I didn't shave perfectly each time and whilst it doesn't help the effectiveness, they worked around it. Zapping my bikini line I was kept covered up and didn't feel uncomfortable. Friendly and welcoming, always offered something to drink, convenient location expect I hate parking in the city. The treatment itself; The treatment works on growing hair, as not all hair grows at any one time the treatments are spread over several months, I had 1 every 6 weeks so 36 weeks. The session length depends on the area of skin, sessions are split up to make them more manageable, my longest I had was 1.5 hours. There is some pain at the time, on bones or near nerves seemed worse for me, ice packs used prevented any lasting soreness, the next day I was fine. One session I managed to fall asleep so it can't be too painful. I finished the last treatment 6 weeks ago. The results to date have been great, a lot less hair, none in a lot of places, because it happens over several months I have forgotten how hairy I was. I had laser hair removal on my bikini line in 2001. Every laser pulse felt like someone was popping a BIG rubber band on my skin. After a few sessions, the hair removal was completed but I ended up with rings marked/burned on my skin that took a year or more to fade. What a different experience at Gentle Touch!! The staff spent a full consultation hour with me before I even gave them a penny or signed a single document. They explained all the procedures, expectations of results, and how they would only do a certain number of body areas at a time. (I originally went for a Brazilian and upper lip, but also added Laser facials.) The staff is professional and really knows what they are doing. I really like that they are so concerned with their customers, that they always do a med-check before any appointment and let you know if anything might affect your treatment. They have also been very considerate of my reschedules (I had a period of busy travel in the winter). And I love that I get appointment reminders in email, as well as, a phone call. The personal touch is wonderful. The results have been fantastic. I have basically no hair left. A bonus was that I had a C-section scar that faded considerably with the treatment, it's called laser facial but can be done on any part of the body. The laser facial far exceeded my expectations. I have never had compliments on my skin and now receive them regularly. I even get asked what my skincare regime is. For someone who had high school acne scars 20 years later that is HUGE! So, now I am doing hair removal on underarm and chin. Also, I will be alternating that with laser facials on my arms and chest (that area where your shirt is open and exposed to the sun). Needless to say I am more than pleased. I must be because I drive from Westchester to go to Gentle Touch, bypassing many, many other centers along the way. I would encourage anyone interested in laser hair removal to check out Gentle Touch Laser. Their prices were much lower than the other places I got quotes from. The staff is very friendly, personable yet still very professional. They sent me reminder emails and calls to remind me of my appointments and they were always on schedule. They have somewhat extended hours to accommodate a working persons schedule. The technician was very knowledgeable and informative and made me feel very comfortable. I had been wanting to do laser hair removal in a sensitive lady area for a while. I decided about 8 months ago to do it and started doing research. Calling the different places around the city, I found this treatment might be expensive and just maybe not worth it. Of course this made me skeptical about the effectiveness of the treatment but I figured going in for a free consultation wouldn't hurt. For my consultation, the technician fully explained all the details of the treatment. She talked about the risks, effectiveness, a list of do's and dont's, and cost. She did a test spot to make sure my skin could handle it and sent me home. A few weeks later I was back to start my treatment. The tech made me feel super comfortable in my sort of uncomfortable position. She also gives 120% to her job, making sure she gets everything. I was happy to report that in one month there was serious hair reduction due to the treatments. Six sessions later and I'm pretty much hair free. No joke. When I first heard about laser hair removal I was very skeptical. There was always the fear that I would spend a lot of money and get nothing in return. Where do I start? I have been going to Gentle Touch for almost a year now and I have been extremely pleased at the results of my laser facials. With me having an acne problem laser facials have helped tremendously. I have noticed that my skin has gotten much much clearer and healthier. Regina is a gem. She is very patient and doesn't rush you out the door like other spas. She and one of the owners have definitely helped my acne situation.
