Bond street is great. I was walking down Bond street and I found the Gene Frankel Theatre. My father saw a play directed by Gene Frankel called ""The Blacks"". He told me that after I moved into my new NYU dorm to look up The Gene Frankel Theatre. Which is exactly what I did. I found the funniest play there . . .""Where's Dorothy"". Great Off Broadway Theatre 1/30/2008

We went to see a play is past December at The Gene Frankel Theatre called Dickens? ?A Christmas Carol? with 8 different theatre groups interpreting different chapters. This was so explosive! Ending with a fantastic David Bowie piece. The whole show was high energy. I have seen other shows at The Gene Frankel and I will certainly return for more. Pros: Ground level, easy access, close to subway, great lobby w/ posters, artwork and piano Cons: bathroom backstage more
